Partnerinvest new fund focuses on cleantech and impact investments in the north of Sweden. Partnerinvest Norr, established in 2010, aims to accelerate growth among startups in the Norr and Västerbotten regions in northern Sweden. Supported by regional public actors and Tillväxtverket, the venture capital firm has invested in nearly 100 companies through its first two funds. The firm is launching a third fund worth SEK 175 million over five years, targeting around 60 new startups for investment. The new fund focuses on industries such as cleantech and technology. “We have previously invested in tech and life sciences. From gaming stations at festivals to a unique energy-efficient gaming computer, we did it all. The innovative content, the use of esports media channels, gaming professionals as influencers, and an impactful presence at live events raised awareness and enhanced Vattenfall’s brand perception among gamers as a forward-thinking, responsible energy provider. The 2023 campaign exceeded expectations with 3.8 million impressions, 23,000 stand visitors, and 3,800 competition entries. But it’s the real-world impact that sets this campaign apart. Based on our study, 19% of gamers said they would choose Vattenfall solely based on this cooperation. In this time period we recorded a 53% increase in new fossil-free electricity contracts from the target audience. Most importantly: these new contracts lead to approximately 930,000 kg of annual CO2 savings compared to energy produced with fossil fuels. That is equivalent to the carbon absorption of 143,000 trees in a year—a tangible contribution to more sustainable gaming." The fund has already made three investments including Roro AB, a gaming studio redefining entertainment, Lemonado and Starhive, pioneers in the future of work, and platform technologies which include fintech, IoT, cloud infrastructure, and machine intelligence. 🇬🇧 The Twenty Minute VC, 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲: $𝟰𝟬𝟬𝗠 In just four weeks, Harry Stebbings, the UK podcaster-turned-VC, has closed his third and largest fund, named after his podcast series 20VC, raising $400 million.
