Thank you for all the CONGRATULATION messages sent to me by DM on Linkedin and other media. It has been 22 years of business as KB ASSOCIATES PTE LTD(KBA), and a fantastic journey it has been. With a mission to improve commercial diver safety by providing assurance in areas of equipment, management systems, project management support with subject matter experts the original scope has grown into several other areas of business and life. Over the 22 years the world has changed so much, the business environment has changed with it. As a company and as a KBA Team we, like many reading this have been challenged by many global crisis’s, such as SARS(2003), Global Oil Price Crash(2014-2016); MERS(2015), Global Financial Crash(2007-2008), COVID19(2019-2022), geo- political changes and many more. There are many lessons that have been learnt over these past 22 years, from a business perspective and a personal perspective. There are also many ‘Business Experts’ out there offering advice and ‘solutions’ and yet have not had such in depth challenges and pursued positive outcomes. The lessons learned from the 22 years of business will take a book to explain. I will always reflect on the A.R.C.T.I.C code as a model for business and life:- ADAPTABILITY; RESOURCEFULNESS; COMMITMENT; TENACITY; INTEGRITY; COURAGE each one of the codes will come into play at different stages of your business and during life. How you use and drive with them to take the challenge and negative environment to a positive outcome will be dependent on you, but not you alone. 22 years of business and still in play – not surviving but thriving cannot be achieved alone, you require a great team with the same values and understanding, it is not always good times, but when it is enjoy them but prepare for the challenging times, be ready, be prepared to respond to a crisis. The KBA Team has been second to none over these 22 years, some of our team have been with us since we started while many others have 5,10,15 plus years of service with us. The KBA team extends to KBA Training Pte Ltd (in business since 2006) and our families who have supported us in this journey. Not all decisions we make as business owners turn out well, and I have had more than my fair share of bad calls, knowing when and how to change the bad discission to positive outcomes is also learnt quickly. When we stop and reflect on achievements over these 22 years, we have completed over 2500 projects globally, supported clients on every continent, support clients from major global energy organisations to marine and subsea contractors to transport and regulatory authorities across UK, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia. We thank our clients for their trust and support in KBA and look forward to working with you in future. ‘Making The Difference’ has always been the goal of KBA, and personally when we stop for a time and reflect on the achievements, I am proud to be able to thank everyone for helping make this happen.

Why did I fall in love with Singapore?💞 Here are 3 main reasons: 1. Safety. 🦺 Singapore is incredibly safe. You can walk freely at night, leave your bag unattended, and feel protected wherever you go. This high level of safety is due to the country's serious approach to crime and strict enforcement of the law. 2. Racial Harmony. 🤲 Singapore has prioritized racial harmony since its establishment, viewing it as the foundation for a prosperous society. As a nation of immigrants, it has taken significant steps to enhance integration. One of the early measures was ensuring that diversity was embedded in each neighbourhood, with a mix of ethnic groups within every Housing Development Board (HDB) estate. 3. Efficiency. 🎯 Singaporeans are constantly focused on efficiency. They aim to improve every area of life and governance, always looking for ways to do things better (and faster). This drive for continuous improvement is key to the country’s success. Singapore, you are so young but have already achieved so much! 💪 Why did you fall in love with Singapore? While making payment for my daughter’s gymnastics training today, I went online to search for information on tax relief for sports training fees. Sharing this information to everyone, especially parents who enrol your children to sports training! As Hannah Yeoh mentioned, this is a “reward for good parenting” 😬 Refer to the article below! We send our kids because we want them to learn the value of training, discipline and grit.
