🔄 Earth Hour 2025: A Community-Driven Green Transition 🌍🌿 The Earth Hour 2025 launch event at Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi, brought together thousands of residents, organisations, and policymakers in a powerful demonstration of collective action for sustainability. This year’s event, themed “Green Transition – Green Future”, transformed into a community festival, featuring interactive activities such as a solar-powered Hanoi balcony model and a cycling challenge where participants generated electricity. What a great dialogue to advance interconnection and multilateral power trade in ASEAN! Happy to have joined with Sascha Oppowa for CASE for Southeast Asia together with our colleagues Ernst Kuneman and Arne van Stiphout from Agora Energiewende. It was another opportunity to showcase our work on the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Programme (APG-AP), which is coordinated by Beni Suryadi and Nadhilah Shani (ASEAN Centre for Energy) and jointly implemented with Dimas Fauzi, Adritha Subbiah (Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership ), as well as Matthew Wittenstein, Yeijin Ha, Kieran Clarke (United Nations ESCAP). The dialogue reinforced the importance of cross-sector cooperation to advance interconnection and grid development.
