Aditi Rao Hydari reveals she got no offers after receiving rave reviews for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi'; Farah Khan jokes, 'That is why you got married!'
Aditi Rao Hydari received praise for her performance in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, and her graceful ‘gajagamini’ walk became a viral sensation. However, she shared with Farah Khan on YouTube that despite the attention, she didn’t get many exciting roles. With free time on hand, she decided to get married.
Aditi on the Lack of Opportunities
During their conversation, Aditi and Farah discussed the impact of Heeramandi. Aditi expressed her surprise that, despite the overwhelming love and appreciation for the show, she didn’t receive a flood of exciting opportunities as expected. Instead, she experienced a period of little to no new projects, which felt like a dry spell.

Farah’s Playful Reaction
Farah was surprised and jokingly asked if that was the reason Aditi decided to get married. Aditi laughed and admitted that it was true in a way. She explained that they planned the wedding around their work schedules, ensuring they had time to celebrate before returning to their professional commitments.
In September last year, Aditi tied the knot with actor Siddharth in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends.

Aditi’s Role in Heeramandi
Aditi portrayed Bibbojaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi and gained widespread attention for her dance number Saiyaan Hatto Jao. The series also starred Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmeen Segal, Fardeen Khan, and Sanjeeda Shaikh in key roles.

The series delves into the cultural world of Heeramandi, showcasing the lives of courtesans and their patrons amid the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s. Released on Netflix on May 1, it brings to life the glamour and complexities of this historic district.
Aditi Rao Hydari has signed a new romantic drama alongside Avinash Tiwary. The film, also featuring Arjun Rampal, will be directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Netflix.
