German director calls Shah Rukh Khan 'well spoken and super polite', questions Salman Khan's professionalism as she recalls working with Bollywood celebrities
Michaela is a German expat who has lived in India for nearly a decade. As a director, actress, and co-founder of a studio specializing in experimental films and theater, she has had the opportunity to work with some of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
In a candid interview with Max Chernov, Michaela shared her experiences working with Indian film industry icons, revealing insights into their professionalism and work ethics.
Shah Rukh Khan: The Polite and Well-Spoken Superstar
Michaela recalled her time directing Shah Rukh Khan and expressed admiration for his humility and professionalism. Despite being a newcomer in the industry at the time, she found him incredibly respectful and easy to work with.
"I actually directed Shah Rukh Khan. That was really nice. He was very polite. He was so senior to me and I was just 3-4 years into the business. I was pretty much a rookie. I was directing him and he was listening to what I said."

She further praised Shah Rukh Khan’s eloquence, saying, "He is very well spoken and super polite. His English is super polished. I think it doesn’t come across because his films are mostly Hindi. It was really amazing."

Alia Bhatt: Super Nice and Chill
Michaela also shared her experience working with Alia Bhatt, describing her as warm and easygoing. "I also worked with Alia Bhatt. I also directed her in a teaser to one of her films. She was also super nice and chill."
Salman Khan: A Questionable Professionalism
While Michaela had positive experiences with Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, she did not hold back when discussing her time working with Salman Khan. She pointed out his lack of punctuality, stating that waiting for hours on set had become a routine for his team.
In a video going viral on social media from the interview, she was heard saying, "I also worked with those whose professionalism was questionable, like Salman Khan. He used to make us wait on the set for 7 hours, easily. So now we know. Whenever we shoot with him, we bring our work to set because we know we will just be sitting here all day and probably not do any work because who knows when he will show up."

Acknowledging the potential backlash of her comments, she added, "I am probably not supposed to say this because it is bad for business."
On the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in King with his daughter Suhana Khan. Salman, on the other hand, was last seen in 'Sikandar' with Rashmika Mandanna. The film released on Eid and has been receiving mixed reviews.
