DeShaun Watson will be away from NFL grass for the longest time in the 2025 NFL season. Reason? A ruptured Achilles tendon (largest tendon in the human body) for the second time in 3 months.
“We took a big swing-and-miss with DeShaun(Watson). We thought we had the quarterback. We didn’t. And we gave up a lot of draft picks to get him, so we’ve got to dig ourselves out of that hole. It would be great if we could get ‘the quarterback,’ but we’re not going to force it. We’re going to be patient, and we’re going to try to accumulate as many really good football players as we can.”, Jimmy Haslam shared in a private conference room at the mezzanine level at The Breakers mansion in Newport, Rhode Island, as per the New York Times.
