AmCham Taiwan was honored to host Andy Hunder, President of American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, during his visit to Taiwan. We were also delighted to welcome leaders from all chambers in Taiwan for a meaningful discussion on business #continuity during critical times and the #resilience of businesses in Ukraine. Private companies play a key role in building societal resilience, and as business chambers, our collaboration has never been more essential. By working together, we amplify the voices of businesses and strengthen our ability to navigate challenges—both expected and unforeseen. A heartfelt thank you to Andy for sharing his insights and experiences with us. His visit reinforced the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and the role of chambers in driving positive impact within the communities we serve. Insightful discussions at this recent European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan lunch with Director-General of the Ministry of Justice's Investigation Bureau Michael Chen. Eiger’s John Eastwood had the honor of moderating the event, which explored key developments in Taiwan’s intelligence and security landscape. A big thank you to the ECCT and all attendees for making this an engaging and thought-provoking session.
Great program yesterday held by the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan featuring MJIB Director General Michael Chen. The Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau is often said to be "Taiwan's FBI," handling cases of great complexity and national importance.

Christoph Saurenbach , Head of Trade Section at European Economic and Trade Office (#EETO), opens Taiwan Business and Human Rights Forum together with Minister without portfolio Ming Hsin Lin. Respect for Human Rights is an obligation not an option - Human Rights are among the values the EU is based on, and a key pillar of EU policies. Especially timely to emphasise the importance of Human Rights as today marks the 3rd year of Russia’s unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine. Indiscriminate civilian bombings, abduction and forced adoption of Ukrainian children, suppression of Ukrainian culture and language in temporarily occupied territories are only some of the violations of international humanitarian law committed by Russia. The EU remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine. #StandWithUkraine #EuropeanUnion #Taiwan
