新年快樂🐍🧨 While I still enjoy some quiet days working on my projects, this year, I decided to escape the cold in Taipei and spend the holiday down south! Having lived in Taiwan for almost seven years, of course, I’ve picked up a few traditions along the way. Did you know that buying lottery tickets is a popular custom during this time? So like every year, I also tried my luck buying a scratch card yesterday. 🐍 At least I won back exactly what I spent! 😆 Wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous start to the year of the snake!

  • A quick reminder: Always take the time to reflect and learn from your past campaigns and marketing efforts! Feeling stuck or unsure where to start? Whether it’s analyzing your recent campaign or preparing for the next big one, feel free to reach out anytime!

Don’t just celebrate wrapping up your Black Friday Sale – also learn from it 🤓 If you’re in marketing, chances are you’re wrapping up the year’s biggest sales event! I hope your Black Friday campaign was a great success! 🎉 But before you kick back and relax, here’s a friendly reminder: Take time to analyze and record what you’ve learned. Big campaigns leave us super exhausted (🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️), and it’s tempting to move on without reflecting. But believe me, when you’re planning your next big campaign, you’ll thank yourself for taking a moment to capture those insights now. What were your biggest takeaways from this year’s Black Friday campaigns? Let’s get those learnings locked in before the year ends - and get ready to fully enjoy the Christmas spirit! 🎄☺️

Recently, one of my dreams came true - I finally visited Tokyo DisneySea! 🎢 🩵 One thing that fascinated me was the incredible number of visitors. We queued for over an hour just to enter and there were guests waiting as early as 6 a.m. in the icy cold, even though the park opens at 9 a.m. 🤯  This continued throughout the day - people queued for hours to experience the rides, dine at themed restaurants and purchase Disney merchandise. The crowd was incredibly diverse: young kids, grandparents, international visitors, fashion enthusiasts and even people dressed head-to-toe in black - all drawn in by the Disney magic. ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. Have you experienced it too?

Q4 is here - typically the strongest quarter for many businesses! While many brands focus on reaching new customers, don’t overlook a key strategy: boosting your Average Order Value 💪 December is prime gifting season: Christmas, Nikolaus Day in Germany/Austria and even DIY advent calendars create opportunities to sell products that fit the season. 🎁 Offering higher discounts for larger orders or bundling complementary products can help you boost your sales in those last weeks of the year! Let’s finish the year strong! 😃 PS: That's of course an old photo - In Austria, we traditionally only set up the tree on Dec 24.🎄 😉

  • Why am I sharing this quote? Because so many businesses are stuck with fragmented marketing strategies that don’t deliver results. Even more so, if brands don’t really know their audience and everyone on the team is doing what they think could work best! With Hey Stranger, I specialize in helping brands bring all their efforts together into one seamless, synergized strategy. 💪 📱 Your social media should amplify what your audience loves and reflect their feedback. 📧 Email marketing? It should mirror those themes, creating a consistent and trustworthy message. 💰 Paid ads? They should take what’s working organically and amplify it for greater impact. When your marketing works in harmony, you create trust, clarity and results. With Hey Stranger, I can help you build a strategy where: ✅ Every channel supports the others. ✅ Your message is clear and impactful. ✅ Your marketing actually works! Ready to stop struggling with fragmented efforts and start seeing real results? 🚀

  • We've all heard about user-generated content (UGC) by now, but have you already heard about 𝗘𝗚𝗖? This stands for 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙚-𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩, and as shared in our 2024 marketing trends, it’s a powerful, budget-friendly trend that more brands are leveraging to build trust and authenticity! There’s so much I could write about EGC, but let me just share the highlights here: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗘𝗚𝗖 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀? People connect with people, not logos! Brands like the German candy brand Hitschies are using EGC to bring their brands closer to their audience by showing the real people behind the scenes. The best thing about this? It builds trust & authenticity! Employees know the brand best. They can showcase their favorite products and give a unique, genuine view that really resonates. 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, EGC can show how “people are people” no matter where they work, building trust across cultures. 🌍❤️ 𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗚𝗖 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴? No, instead, it’s a powerful addition. While influencers reach big audiences, EGC builds an engaged, loyal community. And if you’re considering EGC, remember: Employees are putting their faces online, representing your brand. Recognize this in their paychecks too! 😬 Is your brand ready for EGC? 😉

  • At Hey Stranger, we know that effective marketing is more than language - it’s about understanding the culture, landscape, and unique vibe of each market. 🌏

One thing that’s fascinated me since moving to Taipei is how everywhere you look, there’s a spot for advertising! Every building, every wall, even spaces you wouldn’t expect! It’s like the whole city is an open canvas for brands. 🏙️ In Europe, especially in cities like Vienna, ads on buildings are much more restricted because so many structures are historic and protected. That's why advertisements are often found on dedicated walls, especially around public transport hubs like metro stations and bus stops. This difference is a reminder of how important it is to understand the local context when marketing a brand. What feels totally normal here in Taiwan might be out of place in Europe. It’s not just about translating language but really getting the visual and cultural “vibe” of each place. 😊

  • I recently spoke with a brand that asked why their social media wasn’t driving sales. First off, social media isn’t exactly a sales funnel - it’s more of a marketing funnel. But regardless, you need a clear idea of what you want your audience to do, otherwise you can’t really expect results. When I reviewed this brand's strategy, I noticed they had no specific direction for what they wanted people to do next. It’s a common challenge, but one that can be fixed with a few simple steps. 👤Profile: Make sure your bio explains what you offer. 📝Posts: Every post should guide your audience in a subtle way, without feeling pushy. 👁️Authenticity: Especially in Europe, people want to connect with brands that feel real. If you’re looking to optimize your social media funnel, reach out to me anytime! I’m happy to have a look at your social accounts!

  • 🚨 Wait… you're really skipping Q4 campaigns? If you’re selling in Western markets like Europe, Q4 isn’t just another quarter - it’s your biggest opportunity to boost sales. Think Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas shopping… all rolled into one. 🎁 So, how do you make the most of it? ✨ Plan your influencer campaigns around key dates (Black Friday and beyond). ✨ Maximize social reach with targeted content and the right keywords. ✨ Promote gift-giving ideas to boost your average order value - people are already thinking about presents! 🎄 The bottom line? Q4 can transform your year - but only if you approach it the right way. 💪 If you’re unsure where to start or need some feedback on your strategy, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to share some insights to help you get the most out of this season. 👋

  • To be honest, there’s so much I’ve learned over the past year, I hardly know where to begin! 𝟭. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 & 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 Running your own business is like being on a rollercoaster - some days, everything flows smoothly, and other days, it feels like a lot to manage. But every day brings growth. I’ve learned how to be more efficient, how to handle the legal and financial aspects, and most importantly, how to stop underestimating myself. It’s been challenging, but incredibly rewarding. 𝟮. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Marketing your own business teaches you a lot about your clients, but will also make you understand what should have been done differently in the beginning. One key lesson I’ve learned is just how important branding is - not only for marketing but across all aspects of the business. I’ve always put a strong focus on Hey Stranger’s branding, but looking back, I’d invest even more in refining it. From client presentations to internal documents, consistent branding makes a difference everywhere. 𝟯. 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 When starting Hey Stranger, I knew that there was a strong need for (especially German language) marketing assistance in the Taiwanese market. Over time, I’ve gained deeper insights into what businesses need, and I’m excited to be expanding my services to meet those needs even better. Hitting this one-year milestone feels great, and I’m excited for what’s next!  What’s the biggest thing YOU learned in your first year of business?
