We are delighted to announce that Atlantic Green has successfully completed a landmark financial closing worth £152 million in support of our 300MW Cellarhead battery storage project near Stoke-on-Trent. The financing was secured with a consortium of leading international lenders including Goldman Sachs, who acted as structuring bank, together with Santander, Bank Hapoalim and Bank Leumi and represents one of the largest of its kind in the UK energy storage sector. We are proud to announce that our Buxton project (30MW/60MWh) has now commenced commercial operations. This is an important milestone in Atlantic Green's growth as a leading BESS player in the UK market. The Buxton project was delivered in 14 months and is the company’s first operational asset as part of a robust pipeline. The project is of major importance to UK's power autonomy and energy security, contributing to the reduction in carbon emissions as the country seeks to transition to Net Zero. The project is the result of a collaboration between Atlantic Green and its shareholders, Nofar Energy and Interland and was made possible by a number of important partnerships, including with Goldman Sachs as lender and optimiser, Tesla as BESS supplier and H&MV Engineering as balance of plant contractor.
