  • Frontier Space at ELRIG R&I 2025 We were pleased to take part in ELRIG’s Research & Innovation 2025 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, joining innovators in the Breakthrough Zone to discuss how microgravity can support drug development. Over two days, we connected with researchers, industry leaders, and potential partners - all focused on advancing life sciences. A key highlight was our CEO, Dr Aqeel Shamsul Shamsul’s presentation, where he addressed the challenges of protein crystallisation on Earth and how microgravity offers a more effective alternative. It’s an area with significant potential to accelerate drug discovery, and we were glad to share insights with such an engaged audience. A huge thank you to the ELRIG team - Sanj Kumar, Sarah Lupton, Clare Cockerham, Emily Norman, and Gayshini K. - for making the event a success. And a special shoutout to Julio Martin for being a fantastic booth neighbour! To everyone who visited our booth - thank you. If we didn’t get a chance to connect, we’d love to continue the conversation. Get in touch to learn more about how we’re working at the intersection of space and pharma. #ELRIG #DrugDiscovery #Microgravity #FrontierSpace

  • Could the key to more effective drug development be… #microgravity? Space-based research is offering opportunities that simply don’t exist on Earth. From improved crystallisation to accelerated discovery, the opportunity is huge. We’ve taken a closer look at the potential - and the real-world impact it could have. If you're in pharma, biotech, or simply curious about where medicine is headed next, this is worth a read! https://lnkd.in/gMi7Xmjg What do you think - will pharma’s next breakthrough come from orbit? Let’s discuss ⬇️ #SpaceResearch #Pharma #Innovation

  • We had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from TTP plc to our facility this week. TTP plc has played a key role in advancing life sciences as well as satellite and space technology. Their visit was a great opportunity to exchange ideas on practical space projects and explore opportunities for collaboration. With upcoming flight opportunities designed to support a range of missions - including space R&D and in-orbit manufacturing - we are committed to making space more accessible for those looking to take the next step. We appreciate the open discussions with TTP plc and look forward to seeing where these conversations lead. If you are considering a space-based project, let’s talk. We’re enabling organisations to use space as a platform for product innovation with brand storytelling. Whether it’s advancing biological research in microgravity and capturing unique content, space is now within reach for those looking to stand out in a truly distinctive way! #SpaceInnovation #NextGenSpaceTech #InnovationInOrbit

  • Returnable Space Re-entry Vehicle is Changing Biotech 🧫 Space biotech is becoming more accessible than ever before. With returnable re-entry vehicles, biotech can move faster, operate more efficiently and scale sustainably - particularly in the in-space manufacturing sector and microgravity R&D. Here’s why it matters: Frequent and Reliable Access - Regular missions enable accelerated R&D cycles, allowing for rapid testing and refinement of biotechnological processes in microgravity. This leads to continuous breakthroughs in drug manufacturing, development and tissue engineering. Lower Costs, Greater Sustainability - Reusable systems cut expenses and waste, making space biotech accessible to more innovators. Fast Sample Return for Real-World Impact - The ability to quickly bring back manufactured products and research samples ensures that discoveries made in space can be promptly applied to terrestrial applications, accelerating the commercialisation of medical and scientific advancements. That’s why we’re proud that our first launch is with ATMOS Space Cargo's Phoenix, a returnable launch vehicle paving the way for the future of space biotech. We picked Atmos because they are redefining commercial space logistics with an industry-leading payload efficiency ratio of 1:2 - ten times above current market standards. They are on track to become the first private European company to attempt space re-entry with its PHOENIX capsule. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with their team!🤝 Stay tuned - we’ll reveal what experiments we’re sending soon! ;) #SpaceBiotech #Innovation #FrontierSpace Video Credit: ATMOS Space Cargo
