Shanghai, 31 March 2025 - Innovation and technological development in sustainability and alternative power were the main themes at the China International Forum on the Boating Industry Development (31 Mar) at the just-concluded China (Shanghai) International Boat Show 2025 (30 Mar - 2 Apr). Organised by the China Boat Industry & Trade Association (CBITA), the Forum proceedings were led by its Sec-Gen Mr Chengchang Hua. ICOMIA CEO Joe Lynch F CIM was honoured to deliver the opening address on the importance of Global Alliances and collective collaboration for the sustainable growth and development of the industry. This was followed by insightful presentations by Xiaobing Pan (China Classification Society); Zhao Zhenhua (Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co. Ltd); Xiaokang Wan (Guangdong ePropulsion Technology Limited); Evelyn Wei (ExploMar (Suzhou) Energy Technology Co. Ltd); Yuwei Cheng (ORCAUBOAT ) and Frank Lin (Hainan Sanya Cruise & Yacht Association). All presenters returned to the stage in the closing Panel session, moderated by Joe Lynch, to discuss the Role of Technology in elevating customer experiences and service excellence.
