We forge positive long-term relationships with our customers and ensure we always exceed their expectations. McTaggart Construction are committed to working with our clients on supporting Community benefit and the journey toward Net Zero . This is a fantastic example of how we can support both in one activity
🌟 A great example of the community benefits element of our supplier contracts 🌟 Yesterday we planted a community orchard 🌳 A team from McTaggart Group came along to help with the planting, and the trees (apples, pears and plums) were donated by Krinkels UK and Response Building Maintenance. The project team from Growing Together were on site to guide us and we had help from two of the local primary schools as well as some of our Almond colleagues. Our Prestwick South Ayrshire Council project received a visit from The Scottish Government Paul McLennan as shared by our managing director Janice Russell earlier.
McTaggart Construction and our client, South Ayrshire Council, were pleased to welcome the Housing Minister, Paul McLennan, to our site at St Ninian's, Prestwick today. The Minister had time to look at some of the homes which are being handed over to their new tenants this afternoon. The development will provide 42 affordable homes, including 6 wheelchair adapted homes, helping to change the lives of the new tenants. The Minister took the time to discuss the continued challenges we are all facing in getting much needed new homes onto site and we hope that the Stalled Sites work together with the new Planning Hub will make a difference quickly in light of the continued high levels of homelessness many families are facing. In #NewHomesWeek it is important to remember the social and economic benefits new build housing create, not just for the families who move into the new homes, but for the communities created and all those in the supply chain. McTaggart Constructions project in Prestwick created 7 new jobs, delivered over £2m in terms of social and economic value and provided opportunities for 50% local Ayrshire Businesses. Well done to the McTaggart Construction team for delivering another fantastic project.
