The 2025 Recruitment Expo concluded yesterday, but its themes are far from over! here's a quick roundup for those who couldn't make it: AI is everywhere and wholly misunderstood: roughly 85 of the topics covered by speakers over 2 days referenced AI in some way, but most of what was mentioned was automation, not AI. The future is still AI: Actual AI, as in digital employees that have specific roles, KPI's and goals, working to support real consultants with sourcing, business development and admin. Tariffs and regulations: Whilst there's a lot of uncertainty in the US at the moment, the general consensus is that deregulation, and the onshoring of industry, will positively impact hiring once the dust settles and the tariff war is over. Recruitment is becoming more collaborative: More and more recruitment companies are becoming part of communities that share advice, support with vacancies and help each other out A big congratulations and thank you to all the speakers and everyone who who helped to put this event together!
