Difficult Location - 10% Competitive Salaries - 10% Lack of experienced candidates - 80% Other (please comment) - 0% Our sales division has made more placements in the first half of 2024 than any other first half in our company's history. If you are recruiting talk to us we are here to help but the following is worth considering prior to a conversation: 1) What are the "must haves" and not an unrealistic "Euro Millions list of attributes". 2) How will you attract them - why do you work there? What growth plans does your company have? How are you different to the competition (What is your USPs as a business?) How are you innovating with new products or applications for existing ones? How do you back your sales people? How effective is your marketing (exhibitions, conferences, sponsorship, professional memberships, marketing collateral)? What is your culture / What is it like to work for you? 3) Is your basic salary competitive (people need to pay bills - commissions and bonuses are what drive sales people and make them strive to be number one but don't expect successful sales people to join you on less. 4) Is your car policy flexible and attractive. Companies offering hybrids as the norm and electric cars if practical or realistic Car Allowances (preferably a choice of either) find it easier to attract people. 5) It's a very competitive market with most applicants having multiple choices in where they go - delay in making decisions and you WILL loose people. Telling that only 10% said Difficult Location. My experience says that if you have an exacting and tight person specification and you then add in a location with little flexibility, you are likely to fail. We will also become your "ambassadors" selling your role truthfully and with conviction to both new and existing candidates. In the past month we’ve received fees in almost every possible way - 💰 Launch fee for retained search 💰 Completion fee for retained search 💰 Weekly margin % on contractors via Sonovate 💰 Monthly margin % on contractors via Sonovate 💰 Direct contract fees that we fund ourselves 💰 Contingent perm fee on candidate acceptance 💰 Contingent perm fee on candidate start date 💰 Temp to perm fee after a 4.5 month contract 💰 Fee on completion of SOW deliverables 💰 14 / 30 / 45 day payment terms Whatever your requirement, we’ll propose the best solution to get the job done. We know it’s not a one-size fits all model. As a purposely small 2 person business, we can make commercial decisions quickly so that we can get started on the search. In the current market it’s important to show flexibility without devaluing our service. We are happy to be flexible as long as the respect goes both ways and the terms are fair. I hear too many people moan about the rigidity of recruitment services. It doesn’t have to be this way. We’ve also said NO ❌ to a lot of business over the past month simply because we’re either not the right partner for a particular company/vacancy, the terms weren’t fair, or in one instance someone was just a complete d*ck.
