Are you involved in HbbTV application development? The HbbTV Association would like to get your input.   At Tequate Ltd - Training and Consultancy we work with a number of prominent manufacturers in the TV space, and we get involved in helping teams, both in Development and Strategy, who need to understand the processes and issues involved in HbbTV application development.   When we noticed a post from Matthew Huntington who was asking for contributions to the HbbTV Association alliance's developer portal, we reached out to offer support.   We're aware that no matter how knowledgeable our subject matter experts are - nobody knows everything, and for us, every delivery is a learning experience for us also; questions and insights provided by our attendees about their own use cases inform future deliveries   We also ensure we leave delegates with further tools and resources to continue the learning process, which doesn't end with our deployment of training or consultancy, but is an ongoing journey, as most technologies in play in the Broadcast and OTT ecosystem, are constantly evolving.   So in the spirit of shared knowledge, we're sharing here a link to the HbbTV developer forum below - your contributions will help other teams in the future, who will benefit from your technical contributions.   https://lnkd.in/dFPw56qf   HbbTV have put together a survey, for those in the developer community, to help steer the direction of the portals future development. 🏫 In the Education sector, Sustainability is in every annual report I read. Many Colleges, Schools and Universities are working hard already to reduce carbon emissions and committing to reaching net zero in the future. There are some great themes here to help any procurement department ensure they are objectively selecting the right solution to meet their needs AND deliver the best value for money they can for their shareholders (in this case the taxpayer). Preparation is indeed key, we do our research before buying a car, a house or even a mobile phone to ensure we know what features we want and the likely cost, why would a high stakes procurement be different?

It speaks volumes that the shift from "cloud first" to "cloud when appropriate" has hit the BBC. We're seeing an increase in enquiries from companies like Linkpool (featured in this article) who were born in the cloud, and are now hitting an age/maturity where a transformative saving can be made by switching to Colocation. Worth a read for those in my network who are beginning to hit thresholds of control, flexibility, scalability and cost in hyperscale cloud.
