We know that 75.6% of SAP contractors working inside IR35 would leave an SAP programme for a competitive opportunity that falls outside IR35 (SAP Hiring Manager’s Playbook). The job market is seeing more fixed-term contracts as companies adapt. Some candidates are showing flexibility, but it will be interesting to see if businesses can retain this talent as the market shifts. A tip for candidates who are currently active in the market💡 Speak to your manager before you fully up your search. I have had candidates ask me "Why would I do this?" The answer is simply, more often than not your concerns can be rectified. You will save yourself and others a lot of time by doing this.

Anyone else's first time at SAP Sapphire this year? 🙋‍♂️ It is my first time going I don't know if I have already mentioned this in previous posts 😅 🤦‍♂️. But it is not NGP's first time attending so our amazing team have created some top tips for new people in attendance this year. "We can hire before the holidays so they can come in, meet the team and get their feet under the table". A client said this to me last week. Now Christmas/New Year can be a bit of a strange one with some businesses pushing everything back to the new year. What I have experienced over the years is many can feel the pressure of not having a role lined up. As much as I love the flexibility of working from home a few days a week, one thing I really miss from the "pre-COVID" times is... Speller International Friday team lunches!! 🍻 🍕 You'd walk in on Friday morning and everyone would be BUZZING. We would start talking about where we were going to go for lunch before most of us had finished our breakfast. Was it Philly cheesesteak day? Maybe a bucket of fried chicken wings, or a classic pizza and pasta on Lygon St? And always a jug of beer to go along with it! My homemade meal, reheated in the microwave and eaten alone at my dining table on a Friday, doesn't quite hit the same 🤣 😭 On rare occasions, those lunches would turn into afternoon drinks, where we’d laugh, reflect on the week, or just relax and enjoy each other’s company.
