Microsoft Loop: This is huge 🚀 Guest sharing is finally available!!!! Similar to OneDrive/SharePoint sharing, external guests can now access loop components (note there are some caveats described in the article below as this rolls out). What this means off the jump: You can now simple send an email or link with a Loop component (List, page, task, voting table, all things collaboration) and any client, vendor, prospect, etc can edit from their account. If you have used Notion, Smartsheet, Google Sheets etc, and now prefer the Microsoft Stack, you are back in the game! I will be doing some demos and reviews of this once my tenant is live (which should be soon). The main caveat is the guest user does need to be connected to your tenant before sending a component, very similar to the current procedure with OneDrive, PowerBI, etc. Will this feature make you take a deeper look at Loop as your collaboration hub? Next up on the roadmap urgency is embedded database capability. Word is this is also close to being released 🤞

enquiry into Appetite for Business Microsoft 365 Them: Hi Sheryl we need to move some data from Dropbox into SharePoint. How much will it cost? Us: we won’t know until we check the number of files, file types, how they need to be moved , any archiving policy and the framework of where they will be moved too. We also need to discuss future proofing your system should you wish to adopt other m365 apps going forward which will use this data. Them: another company “like you” can do it for 800 Me: there is no way you should be migrating that amount of data into that proposed set up and I’d be very concerned. We want to do this right. Them: price is a factor so we are going with the other company. May 2024 - 10 months later Them: Hi Sheryl we spoke last year about our data migration. We discovered some of our data was lost during the move as it wasn’t backed up, and our system is now incredibly slow to the point we can’t use it. We have 200000 files in one document library 😲 Can you help us please.. Here is a recent example of a prospect of mine, which I have been in talks with for over half a year. SME IT-Consulting company, in the DACH region - trying to build a new BU for Microsoft Dynamics 365. Starting point:  - No knowledge on how to build a Microsoft D365 Team resp. Business. - Already some customers for D365 from Cross Selling (company is already existing in other IT-fields for years). - No scalability, since no Positioning, Target Audience, USP, Offering, … Lead Generation for Sales - resp. a Team around to build on (aka Recruiting and Hiring) What has happened since we got in touch back in fall last year? - Team increased to two people (yes, 100% growth) no new customers - … but most importantly, the new WEBSITE is released So in other words, not much or basically nothing. What is the learning here? FOCUS on the IMPORTANT tasks in your Business - distinguish between “busy work” and “productive work”, or as I call it, “needle movers”! What should have been done instead? - Work out a proper Nische and Positioning, that suits the history and DNA of the company (based on MS D365 ofc) - Research, define, understand, validate the Target Audience - understand, what problems they have and how you can help them (instead of blindly delivering your skill by hours like any other resource deliverer) - Create a USP, that differentiates your from others (otherwise you are replaceable) - and create a problem-oriented offering, with standardized/productized services (to enable recurring revenue and a positive cash flow) - … and most importantly, invest most of the time in LEADGENERATION AND SALES. Nothing will get you more Lessons Learned than working directly with your customers and getting instant feedback! For sure, creating an Informative Website is fun, but it is not bringing you any leads 😂 I can’t believe how many times I hear the same excuses - no time, wrong focus, fear of doing sales. Rather working on Software Updates, Website Releases, and many other “busy” work - nothing that brings additional sales, and thus financial resources for future scaling. Stop wasting your time, stop waiting for miracles stop searching for excuses, stop doing the “busy” work - start doing the “right work”, the “needle movers”, the “dirty work” (it feels dirty because you don't want to do it - you have an inner objection because it is uncomfortable). I guarantee you that you will have more outcomes - more Learning, and eventually more progress in your business! DM the word ‘Leadgen and Sales’ - if you need help getting things going. So my current coding issue is Date Conversion from Excel Spreadsheet to C# DateTime object ... I am getting a cannot convert double to DateTime / I think that EEPlus update might have caused this as it has been working in the past. Investigating :)

Underrated benefit of Microsoft365 Want a super quick way to find a file you have just been working on? Especially if you struggle to remember where you stored the file or even what you called it. We’ve all been there 🙌 Unless you are SUPER organised of course. Or you have a well structured document management set up in SharePoint. 🤣 the answer? the Microsoft 365 Homepage Yes I know... super simple but super effective. 1️⃣Sign in and you can instantly view any files you've been working on recently no matter where it's actually saved. 2️⃣ open the file here and continue to work on it or remind yourself where the file is actually saved. 3️⃣ There is even an M365 app which allows you to do the same thing whilst on the go. There have never been more reasons NOT to use a freelancer❌ The freelance market is facing some serious threats👇 📃 DBA legislation 💼 Improvements in managed services 🌍 Outsourcing 🟢 Availability of permanent candidates All of these things are going to shrink the industry. So, we need to amplify the benefits of using a freelancer. 🗣️ Communicate. Stakeholder management is now a non-negotiable skill. Your people skills will become a differentiator. 🧠 Be proactive. Go the extra mile to identify problem areas and give feedback to your clients. 💶 Be conscious of value. Don't take liberties with your timesheet. When you send your invoice, ask yourself - "does that represent good value?" ✅ Be outcome focused. Try to identify tangible deliverables at every stage. This will help you to show the value you are adding. 🤝 Make a lasting impact on the employees. Share knowledge, upskill, just make sure the memories of you are positive. It will lead to repeat business. 🚘 Be reliable. People value consistency - just ask the sales department at Volvo. If you say you are going to be at the office for a meeting, be there. Freelancing is not going anywhere. But, it's going to become survival of the fittest. Let's make sure that's as many of you as possible💪 #freelance #zzp #interim
