To-do list dread, procrastination and firefighting – we’ve all been there. Here’s part 2 of my Agency Hackers x Productivity webinar. Yesterday I posted about the challenges to productivity, focus and flow. Today, what I’ve seen work: 1️⃣ Block out your own calendar with your priorities for the next day – and get your ops & finance folks, AMs / PMs to do the same. 2️⃣ Brave turning on DND on all your devices & use ‘office hours’ to respond to messages/emails. 3️⃣ Fix your meetings. Consider asynch meetings for status updates. Introduce a meeting-free day a week. Cut meeting times from 30 or 60 minutes down to 20 or 40. Or 🔥 Forget all of the above. Tap your heels 3x and say 'hocus pocus focus focus' – results may vary. This is how I try to minimise busywork and dive into deep work. 🙂 But every team is different. What works for you? Manchester-based marketers... fancy being on a panel? I'm looking for speakers/guests for our B2B marketing events.
