It was good to hear that London is a leader in funding for start-ups. The venture capital specialists such as PI Labs receive 2000 applications for start-up funding per year and competition is fierce. The cost of such capital is high and many start-ups are not surviving. It is vital to have a clear strategy with clear outputs.

There may be cases where it is possible to stack the EWCO Woodland Creation Grant with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) where landowners elect to establish woodland in situations where they are not required to do so; this position remains under review and further guidance will be forthcoming"
