The project involves rolling out a new implementation of Dynamics across multiple geographical markets, and we have so far rolled out to Denmark, Germany and Japan, with the US and Belgium in the pipeline. The work involves identifying local deviations from the global template and identifying how best to accommodate and work with this, which often involves reaching difficult compromises with the local business team. I am one of the lead consultants on the project providing both functional and technical analysis. My role includes leading one of the feature teams, delivering additional functionality as varied as an integration with the German public health insurer reimbursement platform, to integrating with the back office finance system, and generating and reporting on critical KPIs for both the global and local teams. I am responsible for liaising with the business to identify their requirements, work with the technical architects to agree a solution which will both deliver the business needs and remain within the agreed architectural design, and then manage the dev team delivering that functionality. The technologies used are predominantly Power Automate, Azure Functions, and custom PCF controls.

I led a team from KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions as the Scrum Master and Lead Functional Consultant as part of a project replacing a series existing applications which were no longer fit for purpose, while integrating with applications which would continue to be in use. I worked closely with the client-side Product Owner, Enterprise Architect, Business Analysts and End Users in order to understand their requirements and both the technical and business landscape before translating this into a…

I worked closely with the client-side Product Owner, Enterprise Architect, Business Analysts and End Users in order to understand their requirements and both the technical and business landscape before translating this into a functional design and technical requirements. We seamlessly transitioned from being on-site to working remotely when the COVID pandemic hit and continued delivering against all our milestones.

I was brought on initially to troubleshoot issues with the integration between Dynamics and Outlook, and was retained to support development operations for the Dynamics 365 implementation. My responsibilities included ensuring that ongoing business as usual changes and bugfixes were appropriately prioritised and delivered, as well as helping to plan the development roadmap of Dynamics 365 to ensure maximum utilisation of the platform’s capabilities across the business.

My responsibilities extended beyond purely technical roles, and included aspects of vendor and licensing management, partner selection, technical governance and BAU support and small change delivery, while also being responsible for the technical oversight of two partner-delivered projects to extend the usage of CRM across additional business units. I engaged regularly with key business stakeholders including several at C-level and project/application sponsors across the different business units

    Some key achievements include:
    • Oversaw the in-place upgrade from Dynamics CRM 2016 to Dynamics 365
    • Identified areas with potential user licensing cost savings, leading to an annual reduction in licensing costs of £45,000
    • Streamlined the BAU/small change delivery process, increasing the frequency of deliveries to monthly from when it was previously twice a year, with no impact to service availability
    • Oversaw a major partner-delivered project, adding new functionality for the Delegated Authority business stream, resulting in an additional 250 users on the system
    • Managed and delivered the onboarding of the Hamburg office, including changes required for their specific business needs
    • Worked with the various business units utilising Dynamics 365 in improving user adoption and engagement with the system

  • Barclays Retail Distribution Review

    -

Worked with another on-shore developer and 2 off-shore developers to design and integrate additional functionality into the existing CRM system in order to meet the Retail Distribution Review requirements. The functionality was developed and tested well within the project timeframe

I was the main consultant on this project and worked in all stages of the project lifecycle, from being a member of the team that pitched the proposal, to meeting with client stakeholders and end users to establish requirements and negotiate the design of the system, and finally to implementation and assisting in bringing it live. This project was run based on Agile principles
