Ros Foster reports on the decision that provides helpful clarity on the nature and application of the various provisions relied upon by the claimant in relation to the provision of personal and intimate care to her. It was a pleasure to attend Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for the first ever claims and learning event with the Liverpool NHS Legal Services Collaborative. A fantastic event from start to finish, thanks to Anna Reid (and the wider legal services team!). It was great to be a part of the day and contribute to discussions by giving an overview with Debbie Litherland about our lesson learning analysis of claims at the Trust over the course of one year. We heard a lot of informative discussions throughout the day with speakers from Hill Dickinson LLP, NHS Resolution, Trust clinicians and patient safety leads. Everyone shared the common goal of improving patient safety and experience, it was such a positive and colloraborative space to hold discussions around steps towards achieving this.
