1. Anil Kumble – 38 years, 183 days
The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru spinner proved that age is just a number and bowled a fantastic spell of 5/5 against the Rajasthan Royals in the 2009 season of IPL. Kumble still holds the record for the oldest player to take a fifer in the league.
2. Mitchell Starc – 35 years, 59 days
The Delhi Capitals seamer bowled a fantastic spell of 5/35 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2025 season of IPL. Starc took a brilliant 5-wicket haul which massively helped the Delhi-based franchise in bundling out the opposition for just 163 runs.

The former Lucknow Super Giants seamer bowled a memorable spell of 5/14 against the Delhi Capitals in the 2023 season of IPL. Wood’s fifer helped his side in restricting the opposition to a total of 143/9 while chasing the target of 194.
7. Andre Russell – 32 years, 349 days
The Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder bowled a terrific spell of 5/15 against the Mumbai Indians in the 2021 season of IPL. Russell’s fifer massively helped his side in bundling out the opposition for only 152 runs.
