Inspector Gamble is called on to investigate Dr. David Mathews, a nerve specialist, a so called Quack, who's promising to cure patients, for a fee.

Once again, it's another very different episode, and unlike many, this one is a little more vague, even after the outcome all doesn't seem black and white.

As I've watched this series, Patrick O'Connell has reminded me of someone, and I haven't known who, until now, and it is Anton Rodgers, the pair are similar in stature, actions and delivery, such similar actors, I particularly enjoyed their scenes together, Rodgers never disappoints.

It's quite a heavy episode, I didn't perhaps rate it as highly as the last few, but it was still very, very good.

In the previous episode I'd wished for an episode where Sergeant Hicks was right, and I think this one just about covers it, Gamble is perhaps just a little too cocky here.

Look out for a young Jan Chappel, playing Eileen, not long until she'd become well known as Cally on Blake's 7.
