The webinar on April 17 will provide an introduction to general PFAS chemistry topics, including the different PFAS acronyms, differences between perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances and long-chain and short-chain PFAS, a discussion on what precursors are, and how we might measure precursors in the laboratory. On April 29, presenters will provide an overview of the current understanding of PFAS health effects, including information on individual PFAS with U.S. and international human health toxicity criteria, the adverse health effects used to develop these criteria, and research underway on PFAS exposure and toxicity. The webinar on May 7 will cover insights on NSPS Kc, focusing on definitions, construction, and compliance requirements, along with TANK 5.1 for emissions modeling, including a brief tutorial and review of the tools uses and constraints.
