The Yale Biotech Club is excited to announce its externship program with Ascent Bio in this summer! The YBC externship program aims to provide students with a short-term but fast-paced opportunity to gain valuable experiences in different careers. Ascent Bio (https://ascentbio.xyz/) is building a fast, AI-powered platform for multi-property molecule design, enabling scientists to rapidly discover and optimize novel small-molecule therapeutics, saving time and resources while transforming drug discovery. They are currently building foundational models in chemistry for model-based molecule design and fast semantic search. Their goal is to accelerate the computational lead optimization process for small-molecule therapeutics. Founded by a team of AI researchers from Yale working on biomolecular design, Ascent Bio is backed by Merck Digital Science Studio Dates: June 1st (Tentative) - August 1st (8 weeks) Eligible Participants: Yale Graduate, Professional, and Undergraduate Students; Yale Postdocs.
