The first European Style Organic Infant Formula that meets FDA standards. Founded by moms in the U.S.

About us

Bobbie is the first and only mom-founded and women-led infant formula company in the U.S. Our European-style recipe meets all FDA requirements, is made with pasture-raised milk from Organic Valley farms, and is the only infant formula to receive both the Clean Label Project’s Purity Award and Pesticide Free Certification. Bobbie is working to shake the stigma and evolve the conversation around how you feed your baby to one of confidence, not comparison, from how we feed to what we feed. We lost sleep over this so you don't have to.

This morning, our CEO and Co-Founder Laura Modi represented the only insurgent brand at the table as the top leaders in the infant formula gathered with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to discuss the future of the industry. Just five years into this journey, the reason Laura and Bobbie were a part of this conversation is because we've been heads down focused on improving nutritional standards in infant formula since before we launched. Today and always, that work continues. We know that a fresh perspective--and a mother's perspective--should always have a seat at the table.

After many months of collaboration, we’re proud to see the Infant Formula Made in America Act of 2025 reintroduced. This bipartisan infant formula legislation was initially introduced last spring and we helped bring it to life by advocating for the role new, domestic entrants play in mitigating future formula shortages. A more resilient supply chain will only strengthen our national security. Crucially, the bill also creates the opportunity to invest in uplevellng nutritional standards, ensuring that as our formula market grows, it does so with an unwavering commitment to quality and safety. We’re proud to have played a part in shaping this legislation and look forward to the impact it will have on American families and the entire infant nutrition ecosystem. Thank you Zach Nunn, Rosa DeLauro, and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan for supporting our ability to feed American babies. Learn more about the bill here:

Today, we are proud to announce an industry first, our newest infant formula three years in the making: Bobbie Organic Whole Milk. Coming April 2025, it's the first and only USDA Organic Whole Milk infant formula on the US market and we're damn proud of it. The groundbreaking recipe is made with USDA Organic whole milk, a critical choice in a formula category flooded with organic claims that fall short of the USDA organic seal. Our CEO and Co-Founder Laura Modi (mom of four), entered this industry to create the highest quality, organic infant formula she could feel confident feeding her own babies. This recipe is no exception -- in fact, it's something we've heard loud and clear that parents want. So we developed it. "We’ve been heads down developing this dream formulation and moving it through the stringent regulatory process for three years now—as parents first and formula innovators second, we hold ourselves and our suppliers to the highest standards for ingredient quality, recipe integrity, and manufacturing transparency, and this product is no exception.” Check out the full press release here:

This month, Bobbie is thrilled to honor Black history and the contributions of Black-led non-profit organizations, especially those working to uplift maternal and infant health. This is work that we are proud to highlight today, but continues on all year long – honoring Black history is a 365 days a year commitment. As an infant formula company, we are deeply aware of the predatory history of legacy infant formula companies. When Bobbie was founded, we committed to not just acknowledging that history, but actively choosing to do better. Supporting Black maternal health is an essential piece of doing better because of that history and the realities of the present. Bobbie for Change, the social impact and policy arm of Bobbie,  launched in January of 2023 at a panel where Elaine Welteroth, our former MotherBoard member, shared her pregnancy and birthing experience. She was joined in conversation by Kimberly Durdin, owner and operator of the only Black-owned birthing center in Southern California, Kindred Space LA and Charles Johnson, the Founder of 4Kira4Moms, Inc., an organization working to end maternal mortality, which disproportionately impacts Black women. Each shared their important stories and urgent calls to make birthing safe and joyful in America. This conversation was a powerful reminder of how people coming together in a room can create positive change. Since January 2023, we have worked alongside 4Kira4Momsto push for policies that would support maternal health and end maternal mortality including championing the MOMNIBUS in DC. Through a co-created program, we have provided support for families who have experienced maternal loss, including covering their feeding journeys with Bobbie formula. In January 2024, Elaine founded birthFUND, a non-profit organization creating access to midwifery care. We were proud to be an inaugural impact partner, providing  lactation and feeding support for their first cohort of parents. Please consider resourcing and uplifting the work of these two organizations. You can visit them 4Kira4Moms, Inc. and birthFUND.

TIME's Women of the Year list for 2025 includes 13 extraordinary leaders working toward a better, more equal world. Bobbie CEO and Co-Founder, Laura Modi is one of them. As the only female CEO of an infant formula company, it's no surprise that she's the first in the industry to make this list. She's been breaking barriers since day one. As TIME recapped: "When raising money for Bobbie, the organic formula company she co-founded, a visibly pregnant Modi pitched the idea to a male investor who scolded her for discouraging women from breastfeeding. “I went to pure motherly fury. I came back with, ‘What would you say to a woman who wasn’t able to feed their baby?’” From pushing for increased nutritional standards across the industry to fighting for paid leave and introducing legislation to ensure the US never faces another formula shortage, Laura has proven in just four years on the market that Bobbie--propelled by her leadership--is here to change parenting culture. Thank you to TIME for including Laura among this list of fierce changemakers, what an honor. Check out Laura's profile and the full list below:

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Paid leave is good for business. Alongside our friends at Moms First, we're supporting the push for paid leave in New Mexico for the second year in a row. The people of New Mexico are close to securing paid family + medical leave for its 2 million residents but we need your help to push it over the finish line. Here's how you can get involved: 1. If you are a NM small business owner, share your story here: https://lnkd.in/gQz8uMuB 2. If you are a NM resident want to share your story, do so here: https://lnkd.in/gmVPuJWF 3. If you have folks from New Mexico in your network, share this with them and urge them to write their rep: https://lnkd.in/gqrNkBZ3

This is not a drill. Looking for ways to show up today -- the people of New Mexico are close to securing paid family + medical leave for the 2 million residents there. Bobbie, for the second consecutive year, has been supporting this push alongside Moms First. Why? ✅ Businesses Must Lead. Companies that offer paid family & medical leave must demand that state and federal governments meet us halfway. Our voices can drive real change. ✅ Movements Need Resources. Because the movement to pass paid leave must be resourced and organizers' time must be paid --- doing change + impact work cannot only be left to volunteers, it is labor and that labor must be paid. ✅ Supporting All Feeding Journeys: We're on a mission to evolve the culture of infant feeding by embracing and supporting every feeding journey. We believe structural support for breastfeeding is essential, and we will continue to advocate for the policies and cultural shifts that make it possible, especially + including paid leave. If you are a NM small business owner, share your story here: https://lnkd.in/gQz8uMuB If you are a NM resident want to share your story, do so here: https://lnkd.in/gmVPuJWF If you have folks from New Mexico in your network, share this with them. Last year, paid leave lost in New Mexico by two votes. This year could be different. Thank you to Orli Cotel the engine behind so much of this work.

When your distribution partners are TRUE partners  🤝 Every month, tens of thousands of boxes of Bobbie are packed up and shipped to all 50 states. But this month, Saddle Creek Logistics Services did more than just ship the new and recurring orders for our Bobbie fam-- They became a true part of the fam by waiving all of their shipping fees for the Bobbie formula shipments sent to our LA Fire Relief Fund efforts. This includes shipments to subscribers who lost their homes, for every family we are sponsoring for the remainder of their feeding journey after being severely impacted by the fires, and for the extra boxes of donations we sent to various partners on the ground in LA. Thank you to the heart-first team at Saddle Creek, for reminding us that choosing value-aligned partners matters! 💚

Happy World Breast Pumping Day to all the pumping moms. As a team of majority parents here at Bobbie, we know firsthand the mental, physical, and emotional toll that feeding takes. And for all the moms balancing work-life with pump-life, in case no one has told you today, YOU ARE A BADASS. To celebrate, we're working with Sasha Israel and The Pump Project, her series of breathtaking portraits that document the strength, resilience, and love of mothers pumping at work. These photos don’t just capture moments, they tell powerful stories. Stories of mothers navigating busy days, juggling careers, and fiercely showing up for their babies from the quiet corners of the office pump room, to the commute home. These are the in between moments we don't always see on LinkedIn, but reveal the real heart of what working moms are actually balancing -- and spoiler alert, it's a lot. That's why, in honor of World Breast Pumping day, we’re giving away a special Feeding Photoshoot with Sasha to capture this special moment in time with your baby. To enter, make sure you're following us on IG and fill out the form:

It’s not just about providing product. It’s about checking in with our Bobbie fam as moms first to ask “what can we do to help?” Thank you Annabel Burba and Inc. Magazine for helping get the word out about the companies springing to action for parents and babies in LA.

I recently spoke with Laura Modi, the co-founder and CEO of baby formula brand Bobbie, who jumped into action last week to support fire victims in LA. She and her team spent hours personally calling every customer living in impacted areas. The stories they heard brought them to tears. Bobbie has since offered to cover the feeding journey of any parent severely impacted by the fires, donated supplies to boots-on-the-ground relief organizations, and created an option for anyone to donate formula through their website. "We just want people to know we're here," Modi told me. Bobbie also gave product to Los Angeles-based women’s supplement company Perelel, which is hand-delivering supplies to fire-impacted customers. Diaper brand Coterie and clothing brand BELLA+CANVAS pitched in too. How is your brand giving back?
