Welcome to sticky note organization paradise: the Pull Session. As the massive STEAM High School project in Syracuse, New York, nears completion, the construction management team at C&S is ensuring smooth coordination by bringing contractors together to visualize the tasks ahead and discuss potential challenges. "Each contractor puts their tasks on sticky notes, and we, as a group, arrange them in the proper sequence for each area of the building," said Tim Brown, Senior Project Manager for the STEAM project. "It’s a tactile way to see what everyone else is doing and what needs to be completed before each contractor can begin their own work in the space." The Syracuse STEAM High School is the region's first-ever high school focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). It aims to provide a rigorous academic curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities to prepare students for careers in high-growth fields. Burns Brothers Plumbing, Patricia Electric, Inc., Crosby-Brownlie, Inc., and Murnane Building Contractors, Inc. were in attendance as the prime contractors on the project. #cscosprojects #constructionmanagement #steam

Our very own Frank Mento, PE proudly represented us at the 2025 NYSCHSA Advocacy Day, championing the cause for better local transportation infrastructure. "Local roads, bridges, culverts, and transportation infrastructure are essential; they form the building blocks for strong, healthy, and vibrant communities. Every year, we join municipal representatives—professional county and town public works leaders—from across the state who advocate for needed funding and work tirelessly for the traveling public. They and their teams give of themselves with a hometown heart and a can-do spirit. They are the keepers and stewards of the state’s local highway network. They plan, design, construct, and maintain transportation infrastructure without fanfare but with undying responsibility and exhaustive commitment. C&S walks hand in hand with these men and women in both support and execution. Kudos to all who took the time to rally in a 'sea of orange' and push for this important cause, and congratulations to the bipartisan efforts of the NYS legislature, whose support and leadership brought courage, attention, and resources to this important undertaking. Good, safe, reliable public works mean good jobs and even greater communities." - Frank Mento, PE #CSCosNews #NYSCHSA #publicworks #townhighwaysuperintendents

Excellent job, team! Thank you, Northern New York Builders Exch, for this great recognition!
Business Development Manager - Northern New York | Senior Property Manager | Syracuse University Cuse Counsel Board Member | Neighbors of Watertown, Inc. Board Member
Last week was truly remarkable....It was a very proud moment for me to accept this award on behalf of C&S Companies ! It was a great honor for C&S Companies to receive the Northern New York Builders Exchange 2024 Excellence In Construction & Craftsmanship Award at their Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony. We are extremely grateful for this recognition and remain committed to delivering excellence in every project we undertake. This recognition celebrates the exceptional work and dedication showcased in the Thrive (CREDO) Wellness and Recovery Center Project in Watertown, NY, where we served as the General Contractor. The project, set in a historic 21,000+ sq ft 100+ year-old building, presented numerous challenges that we successfully overcame. We transformed the space by abating all ACM's, removing lead paint, and constructing 95 new rooms, including specialized facilities like a wellness room, conference rooms with operable petitions, ADA accessible locker rooms, secured dosing room, and patient treatment areas. The comprehensive renovation encompassed new mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, HVAC installations, fire sprinklers, fire alarms, security measures, and advanced camera monitoring with over 25 Cameras. Additionally, ballistic-rated glass enclosures and walls in a secure entrance and reception intake area, were added for enhanced safety. Exterior re-cladding, roof repairs, and window replacements further improved the building's efficiency. Beyond the exceptional craftsmanship, the project's impact on the community is truly profound. We are grateful for the collaboration of all our dedicated subcontractors, especially those local to the Watertown area: Hyde Stone, Con Tech, Empire Northeast, RSI, Cregg Systems, and Chimera Integrations. Special thanks to Tim Andersen - President Construction Services, Anthony J. Fiorentino II - Estimating Manager, Tim Barbgbos - Sr. Project Manager, Jordyn Burgess - Asst Project Manager, Dave Ingraham - Project Superintendent #ConstructionExcellence #CommunityImpact #CraftsmanshipAward #Construction #ONEcandS #CommunityProud @C&SCompanies @thrivewellnessandrecoveryinc
