    I love social media. Not just because I work in it every day, but because it serves so many purposes. Last week alone, I learned a new woodworking technique and spiraled into the same rabbit hole as many of you—watching Ashton Hall light up feeds with his elaborate morning routine. Because I’m at Captiv8, I get to go deeper—dig into the data, see the impact, and find actionable insights to share with clients. Here’s what stood out (and what I loved), and definitely check out Jackie Goudreault's great breakdown on our blog (link at bottom). Everyone LOVES an exaggerated morning routine. Are we all doing 5.5-hour self-care sessions? Nope. But we’re watching. Whether you're a brand or a creator, lean into what’s naturally captivating—and add your authentic twist. You could see the viral moment coming. The water plunge took it to another level. The audience loved it. Then came the parodies. Then the spinoffs (hello, Ashton’s evening routine). Trends like this open doors—for creators and brands—but only if you’re fast on your feet. Saratoga Spring Water Company nailed their moment. Their TikTok presence? Basically nonexistent (a miss). But their entry into the conversation—"Plunge. If you must."—was hilarious, timely, and totally on brand. @SaratogaWater saw a 114% jump in mentions. Creator collabs: subtle moves, big impact. Ashton and MrBeast did a plunge together but posted separately. That nuance matters. Tagging + separate content = more reach. Ashton gained 1M+ followers in a month. On the Captiv8 platform, I saw his engagements surge by 78M. Views per post jumped 19M. And fun fact... he loves posting at 3AM.
