Dr. Beim’s talk highlighted a multi-trillion dollar opportunity hiding in plain sight for many people, which is products designed with women’s unique biological differences in mind. "We are going to end this disease in our lifetime, for our daughters and for all the other little girls who deserve to thrive in their adolescence. 80% of endometriosis is pediatric onset. We need to stop referring to it as a reproductive condition. It is a chronic, inflammatory pain condition. We need to replace medical gaslighting of girls and their parent advocates with rapid diagnostics and disease modifying treatments. I am proud of our pioneering working at Celmatix Therapeutics to progress a novel JNK inhibitor for endometriosis, with future applications in treating PCOS and ovarian aging." Interesting research coming out of Rice University! "Led by Anatoly Kolomeisky, professor of chemistry and chemical and biomolecular engineering, the research team has developed a theoretical framework that quantitatively predicts menopause timing. By analyzing how ovarian follicles transition through different stages, the researchers' model explains why menopause occurs, and sheds light on individual variability and cross-population differences. These insights could improve fertility planning, inform health care decisions related to hormonal therapies and enhance our understanding of age-related health risks associated with ovarian aging. "By considering menopause as a sequential process involving random transitions of follicles, we can better understand individual variability and population-wide trends in menopause timing," Kolomeisky said."
