Meet Kelsey O'Malley, Project Accountant, and this month's Hard Hat Hang Up. Kelsey grew up around construction, with her dad in the industry, but didn’t initially plan to pursue it. After a career transition while studying business administration, she came across Chesapeake and immediately connected with its values. As a Project Accountant, she manages accounts payable, vendor inquiries for specific projects, processes checks and waivers, and stays in close contact with each project team. What she enjoys most about Chesapeake is the opportunity to grow while working toward her goals. She also values the Women of Chesapeake and Future Leaders of Chesapeake committees, stating they "not only help you focus on your role within the company but also foster connections with colleagues and the community." Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family, reading, attending car shows, hiking, and exploring photography.
