  • We are thrilled to celebrate Tawanda R. McCrae’s selection as one of eight honorees at the YWCA Princeton’s Tribute to Women (https://lnkd.in/e75MTkzT). This award recognizes the contributions of outstanding women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a commitment to social justice. Tawanda was honored for her advocacy and charities that she leads, and the impact she has made on our community. Tawanda co-founded the Red Queen Foundation (https://lnkd.in/e3u_CNif ) and also founded Earthways Plant-Based Living and Cats Amazing Rescue (https://lnkd.in/eeFHrPyB https://catsamazingnj.com/).   We are thrilled to see Tawanda’s excellent work recognized alongside other outstanding leaders in the community. Tawanda has quickly become an integral part of Clarke Caton Hintz over the past year by leading Revit training programs, organizing charity drives, and by being an excellent architectural project coordinator.   Congratulations, Tawanda!!!

  • Kalyani Bhatt, one of our talented Project Coordinators, had the opportunity to present to an eighth-grade class in Neptune, New Jersey, where she discussed her journey into the field of architecture, outlining the role of an architect, the educational pathways to the profession, and the types of projects carried out at CCH. The students were highly engaged, asking insightful and thoughtful questions throughout the presentation. It was a fulfilling experience to inspire and inform the next generation of potential architects. #Architecture #STEM #FutureArchitects #Education

  • The Ocean County Justice Complex has received New Jersey's Leading Capital Construction Projects Award from the NJ Alliance for Action. CCH prepared a comprehensive Master Plan to address security concerns, increasing caseloads, and improving the overall experience and operational efficiency of the Ocean County Justice Complex. The new multi-story Criminal Courthouse Annex will include new criminal courtrooms, collegial chambers, court offices, jury holding areas, probation offices, and many other essential spaces. The existing facilities are being renovated to provide controlled access and enhanced security for the complex. CCH looks forward to construction finishing soon!

  • We're excited to highlight the renovation of Partridge Hall, a 49,000 SF building at the heart of Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. This project completely renovated the interior to create dynamic spaces for the University's growing nursing and graduate studies programs. Three floors were dedicated to nursing clinical training, including modern nursing labs, simulation rooms, a mock quarantine area, debriefing rooms, and anatomy labs. We’re also upgraded tiered lecture halls and faculty offices to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.

  • Have a look at the Franklin L. Williams Middle School, an AIANJ award-winning 3-story building designed to accommodate 900 students. The school is organized into a “house” concept, where classrooms are grouped in small clusters to create a comfortable, easily supervised environment. Plus, public areas like the gym, auditorium, and cafeteria can be accessed without disturbing the classrooms. This project is also a model of energy efficiency, featuring highly insulated windows, walls, and roofs, along with a state-of-the-art HVAC system that cuts down on power usage.

      +1
  • On World Day of Social Justice, CCH would like to express gratitude and humility for our collaborations with housing authorities across the State to create affordable homes. These efforts were spearheaded by the housing authorities of Hoboken, Irvington, Trenton, and Perth Amboy Housing. Among these, Turner Pointe Apartments, sponsored by the Trenton Housing Authority, provides affordable housing for households with incomes ranging from 20% to 50% of the area median income. This community includes 77 family units comprising a combination of multi-story townhouses over single-story residences. The Parkview, developed by the Perth Amboy Housing Authority, provides an assisted living residence for senior citizens at the former site of the Middlesex County Vocational High School. The building offers numerous amenities for residents to rest and relax. The project's location, which faces a large public park and nearby civic and retail uses, provides residents with convenient access to many essential services. For more information on affordable housing in New Jersey, please check out this important article from NJ Spotlight News: https://lnkd.in/g55JpCGv

  • Clarke Caton Hintz is pleased to congratulate Michael Hanrahan, FAIA on being elevated to Fellow of the American Institute of Architects! AIA Fellowship is one of the organization’s highest membership honors, and Fellows are recognized for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Fellowship is bestowed on members who made outstanding contributions to the profession through design excellence, contributions to the field of architectural education, or the advancement of the profession; and are elected through a rigorous process by a national jury of their peers. Less than 3% of AIA members hold the prestigious FAIA designation. Michael’s work reflects our firm’s long-standing commitment to the built, urban environment. Specifically, Michael is being recognized for advancing the profession through his work restoring nationally significant buildings and revitalizing communities through artful design, creative planning, and innovative financial strategies. In addition, his persistent advocacy for historic preservation safeguards our built heritage and enriches our collective future. Michael and all new Fellows will be honored at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA25) in Boston, June 2025.
