For the second year of NVIDIA GTC, I was able to help bring in a cool experiential demo to the AWS booth for all the attendees to interact with, including Jensen Huang. Meet Proxie from Cobot - Collaborative Robotics, Inc. In a very short three weeks we worked with the Cobot team to update their existing voice interaction to a LLM and have it integrate to Amazon Nova Pro instead. When Jensen visited, all I had to do was ask him if he wanted to talk to a robot... you can guess his response, and he did speak with Proxie. He also remembered the Embodied AI IoT Chess activation from last year. Thank you to the Cobot team going out of your way to integrate and get things working perfectly. I am looking forward to working with your team for other things in the near future. Brad Porter, Corinne (Moran) Bechtle, Andrew Brillaud, Jessi Dale, Heidi Schubert, Mike Lammers, Nimisha Mittal, and all the other Cobot team who were in and out for the project. I want to introduce you to Proxie #6. This picture was taken this morning as Proxie #6 was getting ready for another full shift of cart movement. Proxie #6 is a workhorse, having been in production service since October, and currently leading our fleet with 4,529 carts moved. It’s scary to send your first robots off to work moving carts that weigh hundreds of pounds traveling long distances in warehouses that can fluctuate in temperature by 60 degrees between summer and winters. Proxie is the general-purpose humanoid industrial customers actually need… trustworthy, adaptable, useful… and a little less… human.
