Gina Godlewski is way more than a brand director. She’s a strategist, a critical thinker, a friend to all and this month’s Jaz Janie winner! Even when working on a tight timeline, Gina gives her best and elevates the work in the process. She asks smart questions, listens closely and inspires her teams to dig deeper. One of our partners recently said, “She’s conscientious, kind, smart, dedicated and really wants to deliver.” Thank you, Gina, for everything you do and for being an inspiration to us all! *** Every month, Dixon Schwabl + Company honors an outstanding employee with the coveted Jaz Janie Award, created to commemorate Public Relations Vice President Jane “Janie” Argenta, who passed away in September 2009. Jane was a fun-loving, compassionate and hardworking professional who touched the lives of many. DS+CO makes a donation to support a charity of each Jaz Janie winner’s choosing. This month, Gina chose to give back to NAMI Rochester, NY.

Can we please have a conversation about brand tone and why you should make it a priority right now? I’m SUCH a believer in the way creative strategy shapes brand tone. Because your tone is so much more than your words. It’s your whole vibe. It speaks to your purpose. It protects your reputation. When your tone truly represents who you are as a brand, it feels right. Leaders live it. Marketers connect with it. Sales teams embrace it. And everything sounds like one big narrative across departments and channels. On brand, all the time. When your brand tone is off, you’ll sense it. Even if you can’t quite put your finger on exactly what IT is, pay attention—before your audience does. Oh, and yes, words matter. It’s just that foundational elements like brand tone matter first. Because when your tone is strategically sound, genuinely empathetic, clearly defined, and constructed in a way your brand and marketing teams can uphold—the words always hit. - Robin Lohkamp, Creative Director #ProvokeProgress #BrandStrategy #MarketingAgency #BrandIdentity
