  • One of the key things about #BCorp month is that it can never be limited to just one month, it's how we exist day in day out. To wrap up the campaign though we wanted share an honest opinion of how we've responded to People, Planet and Policies over the last 12 months. Last year, we did the classic team survey but this time, we focussed on benefits and policies with the goal of supporting the team's wellness and health better by opening up our benefits and listening to what the team really wanted. What were the team using, what were they not? What policies around time off feel aligned to our values, but don’t meet the need? How do our policies support mental health and where do we lack? A lot of questions but don’t worry, we got some great answers. Our learning: Essentially, our team wanted flexibility. We can do that! Our Flexible Working policy was updated and to date, we have just under 50% of our team working hours that are not 9 to 5, Mon to Fri. Fixed benefits that provided access to material goods were out. This one was easy, we had a few London centric policies (free London bike access for example) but our London based team had decreased. These policies were all removed in bulk - bye bye! Tailored, personal benefit were in. In place of the fixed benefits, we built a flexible tailored package where the team could access benefits that work for their wellness or growth. We’ve had the team access sewing classes, reiki sessions and running apps for example - we have some work to do to make this as smooth as possible but the impact has been visible. Meaningful time off to rest, recharge, be with family, or do life admin is key. As part of our benefits, we offered ‘impact time’ which is a pot of time to support your life outside of work - parents can use to go to nativity plays for example, or you can use it to move house or take a pet to the vets. Not everyone wants to rest however and so we also updated our Social Change policy to support those of us who like a peaceful protest with some paid time off. Celebration is key when we hit those milestones and feeling those good vibes but so is resetting during periods of stress. Birthday off is a given (I hope) in nearly all companies, but this year we added a festive shutdown at the end of the year also. Whether you celebrate Christmas, spend time with family, or just need the reset, the team came back swinging following a set time off for everyone at the end of the year. The benefit was felt by everyone, huge win with this! Our core values put people and planet at the centre of everything we do and so at a time where the relationship between mental health and work is more important than ever before we wanted to make sure that we were truly listening to our team and evolving to their needs. We'd love to hear what you are doing and what appeals.

A huge thank you to Wholegrain Digital for their generous donation to Re-Action Collective. Their support is helping us walk our talk - starting with shifting our newsletter to EcoSend, a low-carbon platform that aligns with our values. ✍️ Reimagining the way we send our emails is part of the bigger shift we’re working towards - moving beyond extractive systems and towards ways of being that are regenerative, relational, and rooted in care. Wholegrain are pioneers in this space, showing what’s possible when we design for people and the planet. 🌱 If you’re looking to reduce your digital footprint, they’re well worth checking out. 💻

Plant powered MD at Wholegrain, a proudly B Corp certified and 1% for the 🌎 agency working with change makers. I believe in 'clarity is king' and that authenticity leads to growth.

BIG day at Wholegrain Digital today. Firstly, we welcome Yehor to the development team 🥳 As a side, Yehor is also the first person to pass through our new anonymous recruitment process and whilst there are some wrinkles to iron out, the process held up so strongly as a fair and unbiased way to grow our team. Secondly, Tod moves into a new seat as Head of Experience Design 🥳 This has been a few months in the planning but creating this role was an easy decision based on what Tod was bringing to our clients. He also becomes part of the senior management team, supporting the senior leadership team in steering us forward. Ahhh. What good day! Welcome and congrats! • Did you know that April is 1% for the Planet month? Wholegrain are longstanding members of 1% for the Planet, the platform that encourages businesses to donate 1% of their revenue to organisations doing vital work to protect our planet. This year, amidst turbulent times globally, the team were aligned on wanting to support a community led organisation, where our donation could have a positive impact. During our search, we came across the Community of Arran Seabed Trust - COAST. COAST does vital marine conservation work on the beautiful Isle of Arran, as well as research, community education and engagement. Over the past 6 months, we’ve been able to support them through a mixture of monetary donations to support their marine conservation work specifically, and our team’s time to support their incredible work. It’s been a joy for the team to utilise their UX, design and technical skills to support the COAST project, to create a partnership whose impact is felt beyond financial support. We're looking forward to seeing where this year's 1% for the Planet contribution takes us and to continue connecting with organisations doing the crucial work to protect people and planet.

  • Check out Bailey Bryan at BLAB this week as part of #BCorpMonth #GenB talking open and honestly with a host of brilliant B Corp agencies around how #BCorp has helped to grow and develop their businesses for the better. https://lnkd.in/ek76_kvN

  • Wholegrain was established with the objective of making a positive impact on the world by helping good people do good things, while working in a way that has minimal negative impact on society and the environment. Central to this ensuring that we work with the right partners and to do so we employ a strict ethical screening policy. As always, this isn't a final point, it's an ever evolving process. We'd love to know your thoughts and how you ensure you are working with aligned clients, and likewise, agency partners/suppliers. #GenB #BCorpMonth #BCorp https://lnkd.in/e6bPVQyt

  • Brilliant to spend time with the team from Enviral this week at our mutual client, Good Energy's office to collaborate on a fantastic lunch and learn session focusing on Conscious Creative. Enviral took the Good Energy marketing team through Greenwashing in 2025 - the pitfalls, how to mitigate, what to build into your strategies from the beginning - and Wholegrain Digital then discussed Accessibility today and the move to ensuring inclusivity in digital and creative experiences. (lots more to come in this space!) It was a brilliant session, bringing together two key themes from two side's of Good Energy's marketing activity to share and learn from each other - not to mention that it's always lovely when three #BCorps get together, especially in #BCorpmonth. Huge thanks to the team at Enviral and Good Energy for bringing this all together - special shout outs to Rowena Malpass, Laura Wildish, Isabella Baldo, Chloe Tuck, Louis Trew, Tod Khanian, Luke Berte and Georgie Monaghan! 💚

    Co-founder 🐍 Gyan Chaupar 🪜 💚 Wholegrain Digital - Certified BCorp 🌱 🌏 Board Director at Catalyse Change 🌳

Happy 18th Birthday, my dear Wholegrain Digital! You truly make me proud, flying high with Chris and Georgie as your brilliant pilots! It fills my heart with joy to see how far you’ve come. Tom and I started Wholegrain because we wanted to push the boundaries of what a business could be. We wanted to experiment, to see just how deeply sustainability could be woven into business. 8 years ago, becoming a B Corp gave us a framework to measure our impact, but at our core, we’ve always seen ourselves as part of a greater whole - our Earth community. Doing the right thing simply feels natural. Wholegrain uses Whole Brain People often say that using your left brain makes you logical, sharp, and strategic, while using your right brain makes you creative, empathetic, even a little “hippy-dippy.” But Wholegrain has always been an exercise in both. The left brain brings structure—analysing data, setting goals, keeping our business financially strong. It ensures that we serve our clients well and stay on track. But the right brain? That’s where the heart is. We care deeply, and we set intentions not just for ourselves, but for our team, our clients, and our suppliers. This isn’t something we organise; it’s something that naturally flows. So today, I want to send a huge thank you - to our incredible team, who care so much about doing the right thing, and to our wonderful clients, who put their faith in us. Wholegrain, you make me so proud! 💛 #workanniversary #bestjob #entrepreneur #birthday #loveclients #teamlove
