35 days, 6500+ kilometres and counting… on the Tata Curvv EV. In Gwalior, we had interactions with Business School students at Amity University Gwalior and with the Hotel team of Regenta Place, Gwalior. Thank you Abhishek Gaur and team for the support! Gwalior to Jhansi was a short drive of 120 kilometers. In Jhansi, we faced an electricity outage situation at the one and only reliable DC Fast Charger of Tata Power located at the Chulhewala Hotel and restaurant. We reached here from Gwalior with the dashboard SoC of 9% and waited for an hour for the electricity to come back before we could start charging. Meanwhile, the hotel was running on a back-up diesel generator. Reliable power supply via DISCOMs is a key factor to enable smooth EV journeys. In Jhansi, we had student interactions at Bundelkhand University where engineering students from the Mechanical, EC and EIE branches had the opportunity to learn from the practical EV journey experiences. We also showed them the Curvv EV and let the students plug-in the portable charger. Questions around sustainability, battery lifetime and battery recycling were common here too.
