Meet Rebecca Young – our second #ErgonThroughTheDecades feature. Rebecca joined the #ErgonFamily in 2014 and has held several different positions. She currently serves as Sales Support Specialist for Ergon Refining Inc. “When I was hired, Lance Puckett [Executive VP - Energy & Specialty Solutions, Ergon Inc.] told me he recognized that I had qualifications beyond my starting position. He encouraged me to look for things I was interested in and to pursue them, and he told me I would be supported. He meant what he said,” shared Rebecca regarding her career growth at Ergon. She thanked many members of her #ErgonFamily for supporting her throughout her journey, but notably, Chris Marquette, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing for Ergon Refining Inc., for his hand in her success. Rebecca also shared, “I am beyond grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given to learn, grow and succeed since I started at Ergon 10 years ago. Being empowered to make decisions, have my ideas heard and supported, and receive the resources needed to bring them to fruition is just incredible. It means working as a team. Congratulations to the Arizona Department of Transportation and Cactus Asphalt! Together, we executed a polymer modified rejuvenating fog seal project that was applied on Arizona State Route 202 in April 2024. The Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association recently awarded this project the Past Presidents’ Award for Emulsion Excellence. Last year, over 2.8 million barrels of product passed through Ergon’s Magnolia, Ohio, facility with zero safety incidents.
