STEM careers are shaping the future, and since 2021, we’ve awarded scholarships to 34 students in our communities, helping them pursue their passion in these fields. This year, up to 10 more graduating high school seniors with at least one year of experience in SECME (Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics, and Enrichment) will have the chance to receive support for their college journey. 📚 One (1) FIRST Robotics Scholarship and 10 Scholarships for Students in SECME 🔬 🗓️ Deadline to Apply: April 14, 2025. 🌟 On Good Samaritan Day we are celebrating our employees who recently took part in our Power to Care volunteering campaign. As we mark our centennial, we continue our commitment to powering strong communities. This year, hundreds of FPL volunteers came together to support nearly 30 projects across the state including maintenance and landscaping, reading programs, bike builds and more. Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves and beautified the exterior of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida in Melbourne! 🌺🌿 They planted flower beds, making the space more inviting for the children and teenagers who rely on this safe and supportive environment. We have a lot of exciting news! We unveiled The Conservatory School @ North Palm Beach STEM classroom makeover. Thanks to the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County and The School District of Palm Beach County for celebrating with us. The redesigned classroom features advanced STEM tech to boost student engagement and creativity. FPL engineers also led a generator build competition, highlighting the importance of energy and teamwork. And there’s more! Taking strides to end cancer! 🚴♀️👟More than 120 employees participated in the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, raising $80,000. The funds raised will help fund research toward a cure, providing innovative treatments to patients in need in the communities where we live, work and raise our families.
