About us

There are a billion good intentions tucked inside each and every one of us. At GoFundMe, we believe that the impulse to help a person, fix a neighborhood, or change a nation should never be ignored. In fact, it should be shared with the entire world. That’s why we make it easy to inspire the world and turn your compassion into action. By giving people the tools they need to capture and share their story far and wide, we have built a community of more than 200 million donors and helped organizers raise over $15 billion for the causes important to them—and we are just getting started. Check out current job openings, join our team, and be a part of the change below. ## GoFundMe has assembled one of the best management teams in the business to build the next leading consumer Internet company, including leaders from LinkedIn, Groupon, and Google. We are also funded by some of Silicon Valley’s best venture capital firms, including Accel, Greylock, and TCV.

  • Inspiration to keep telling your story ⭐ Tiara is a small business owner in Philadelphia who started a GoFundMe to ask her community for help. A local influencer heard about her story, stopped in, and posted a video about it. Within two days, supporters gave the $70,000 that Tiara needed. She decided to keep the fundraiser open a bit longer, and is now closing in on $100,000 🙌

New feature to GoFundMe Profiles, as requested by our users! The newest update to Profiles is that users can set a custom URL. So, instead of having a long string of letters and numbers, people will actually be able to set a URL that's specific to them. My new URL is GoFundMe.com/u/Arnie-Katz! When we launched Profiles in November, many of the creators we worked with asked for this. I’m really proud of the team for taking this project across the finish line and, you guessed it, moving right along to the next phase. More on that soon!

This morning, our director of response, Chloe Forman, spoke with the team at FOX Weather about how All Hands and Hearts is responding to the devastating tornadoes and storm system that swept through the Midwest and Southeastern United States this weekend. Our team is already on the ground, committed to supporting immediate relief efforts. We are witnessing widespread destruction and significant damage, and we are leveraging our 20 years of disaster response experience to support these communities by issuing safety warnings, coordinating with state and local VOADs, and developing a plan to assist in debris cleanup efforts. To stay up to date on our work in these communities, follow along here and visit our website at allhandsandhearts.org. You can also support our efforts by donating here today https://bit.ly/3DVR4bS. WCK’s Relief Team is on our way to the central and southern United States to support communities impacted by this weekend’s devastating weather system. The storms caused wildfires, tornadoes, and dust storms in states across the region. This is a quickly evolving situation—we’ll share more information as soon as we have it. • This is how you show up for your community 👏 Wildfire recovery is ongoing in Los Angeles, and we're proud to support many of those efforts. That includes the amazing team from The A List. They have transformed two of their buildings into community hubs that provide families in need with essentials. "Through our partnership with the LAUSD Pasadena Education Foundation, we’re able to serve over 100 families daily," they shared on GoFundMe. "What makes our efforts unique is the personal touch—we pair each person with a volunteer to help them find exactly what they need, whether it’s clothing, shoes, or other essentials. This isn’t just about relief; it’s about restoring dignity and hope to those working to rebuild their lives." They're going to continue this work, but need help to do so. Read more about them and show your support here: https://gfme.co/4kXFcqs Many thanks to team and volunteers at The A List who have made this all possible!

Streaming for good is officially here! The GoFundMe streaming tool is revolutionizing how communities come together for a cause—integrating seamlessly with popular platforms and empowering streamers to activate their audiences like never before. It’s been one of the most exciting developments of the last few months! (Partially because the amazing team behind it made it happen FAST.) We've already seen incredible examples of the tool in action. From Swifties to Dude Perfect, so many communities have achieved (and gone far past) their fundraising goals. The latest example: on Friday evening, Starlight Children's Foundation and PlayVS teamed up to raise money for Starlight’s mission to support sick children by playing a crucial role in the overall care of hospitalized kids. The power of gaming + fundraising was on full display, with content creators like Saint Cola, VikkiKitty, SierraDawn, and BassfromthePast live on Twitch, rallying their fans to surpass the fundraiser’s $10,000 goal. Kudos to the GoFundMe team who made this and so many other cool streaming moments happen. Which streamers should we collaborate with next? Let me know in the comments!

Is there anything better than a great conversation? How about dozens over the course of a long weekend at #SXSW2025?! Friday I was honored to share the stage with the extraordinary Angelique Albert and Sarah Haacke Byrd on Friday to highlight how women are changing the game of #philanthropy! Following our panel we enjoyed an extraordinary dinner at LENOIR RESTAURANT LLC hosted by Lili Strasser and the GoFundMe team celebrating the ways in which the assembled women were changing the game across the social sector. Saturday, Lili Strasser, Amanda Brown Lierman, Morgan OConnor, Devin Bellamy, Sydney Ashworth, and Monica Khan were back at it hosting hundreds of people over the course of many fantastic hours talking about how we are innovating for social good. Thank you to all the extraordinary people who made this such a powerful experience and keep telling each other what matters most to you. The world changes for the better through these extraordinary conversations!

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Brianna from IT Brew about one of the most impactful projects our IT and Security teams at GoFundMe have implemented: transitioning our employees to phishing-resistant MFA using YubiKeys. I'm incredibly proud of this effort, as it significantly enhances our security posture and helps safeguard our platform and users. https://lnkd.in/g3iSCk2g
