Why are we posting pictures of brightly colored icicles? Service Manager Kenny Heitz has been working with a client to diagnose a leak in the building. Although the client believed the leak was in a hard-to-reach area, Kenny’s years of experience led him to suspect otherwise. He instructed Foreman, Kevin Litting, and his team to use a non-staining, biodegradable, UV light-activated tracing dye in a heating unit near the leak. Thanks to this innovative approach, the team pinpointed the exact source of the problem and was able to resolve the leak effectively. #facilitymanagement | #commercialroofing | #buildingenvelope | #greenwood

Today, we're celebrating Alissa Rodriguez, a valued member of our production team for the past four years! Alissa brings a unique perspective to roofing, seeing it as a complex puzzle where every piece must fit perfectly to create a strong, reliable roof system. When she first joined the industry, she wondered if she would be overlooked—but instead, she found a field that valued her skills and expertise. She believes fostering this same inclusive mindset is key to bringing more women into roofing. Alissa takes pride in honing her craft, particularly in the precision and detail required for projects like EPDM roofing. Her dedication and technical expertise make her an essential part of the Greenwood team. Thank you, Alissa, for your hard work and passion! Your contributions make a difference every day. #wicweek25 | #commercialroofing | #buildingenvelope | #greenwood

GRS recently responded to an emergency at the former Suffolk Downs racetrack, where membrane delamination caused a large section of the roof to tear off. With the site undergoing a major redevelopment, the exposed roof posed a risk to both the project and those in the area. Crews acted quickly, installing a large temporary roof section to secure the site and protect ongoing work. Their swift response highlights GRS’s commitment to safety and its ability to manage critical challenges with efficiency and expertise.
