Yesterday, Heartland had the pleasure of hosting educators from Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools for a meaningful discussion on workforce readiness. Jamie Taylor led the conversation, joined by Ross Marks and Alyssa Booms, as they shared the key skills and traits we look for when hiring community bankers. By working together, we’re helping students develop the skills they need for a successful future!

From a leap of faith to a leadership role, Tyler Searight’s journey at Heartland proves that the right career path is often about finding the right seat on the bus. “My goal at the bank is to give back and share the knowledge that I have gained because someone took a leap of faith with me,” says Tyler. From Lake Erie roots to a sports-filled youth, Tyler’s journey led him from engineering to math and eventually to a career he loves.
