For our nonprofit partners and the federal employees who have been shaken—and, frankly, shaken down—by these theatrics, we see you. We know how hard you work to make a real impact in communities, often despite political turbulence that disrupts funding, stability, and morale. Authoritarian tendencies thrive on uncertainty. The more exhausted we are, the easier it is to disengage, to feel powerless. But history teaches us that staying grounded, staying connected, and staying informed are acts of resilience. 🔹 Reclaim your focus – Stick to your mission. When political distractions escalate, double down on what you can control: your outreach, your data, your impact. 🔹 Lean on your networks – Your community is your strength. Share insights, resources, and support with other organizations navigating the same uncertainties. 🔹Protect your people – Advocate for your staff. Many nonprofit and federal workers are caught in the crossfire of instability, facing funding gaps, burnout, and uncertainty about the future. Prioritize well-being, fair wages, and policies that create security for those doing the work. 🔹 Keep showing up – Democracy and civil society are only as strong as those willing to defend them. The work you do every day matters more than ever.
