Last fall, we launched the Immuta #DataMarketplace solution to accelerate data product delivery and collaboration. Now, #ImmutaAI is scaling that power for an AI-driven future. 🚀 At #AWSreInvent, Immuta’s CPO Moritz Plassnig joined Ravit Jain to discuss the growing buzz around data marketplaces — why they’re gaining traction, how to launch them successfully, and how Immuta’s solution streamlines access while maintaining governance. 📺 Catch the full discussion: https://lnkd.in/eVKy2WiT  #TheRavitShow

Today, Immuta released a new workflow, the auto-domain assignment workflow. Customers want to use our 'domains' functionality because it helps them implement decentralized governance/data mesh; it also is the mechanism to publish data products in our data marketplace. However, it has been manual, which is tedious, and does not take advantage of work done in data catalogs. With this new workflow, it's fully automated. ► 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. With this new feature, governance users can now decide on a tag, and every data source with that tag will be added to the domain, continuously updating it so that all data sources with the tag are in the domain. ► 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐬. Users can tag their data sources with the data domain in Unity Catalog, Horizon, Alation, etc, and import the tags into Immuta; now, they can automatically assign them to domains. Much more automation work is coming!

Stop wasting time on manual policy writing. ❌✍️ With #ImmutaCopilot, governance teams can write policies in plain English, and AI will: 📝 Translate intent into enforceable policies. 🛠️ Auto-map user and data metadata. ⚡ Eliminate the guesswork from access control. Faster, smarter, and effortless governance. 🔍 Learn how it works: https://lnkd.in/eSy_xpTF #ImmutaAI

We are innovating quickly within the Immuta Data Marketplace. We're making data provisioning as fast as possible for enterprises. At the center of that process is one collective mind for governance teams. So much of how they make decisions is based on historical context. But there is no system of record of who got access to what and, more importantly, who was denied and why. Because of this gap, we added historical approvals and denials of data access. Data consumers use the Immuta Marketplace app to quickly discover and request access to published data products. Data stewards receive the requests and approve or deny access (if access approval is required). When a data steward is making a determination on a request for access, we now show the last 5 approvals and denials. This helps data stewards to make an accurate decision, because they can see the prior decisions and the reasoning behind them. This makes it easier for Data Custodians/Stewards to approve/deny access because they can immediately see the context of what they approved/denied before. It seems simple, but it's a huge gap for our customers.

"When it comes to enterprise use of AI, enterprises will not build their own foundation models. They will leverage 3rd parties to build their own AI apps and agents. This is where the upside of agentic AI exists — corporations can quickly build tailored agents for their needs vs generic horizontal use cases. But, this is also a massive risk. It potentially means allowing all users, human and non-human, to get access to converged data and exposing it to 3rd party vendors. It will happen, so it's just a matter of ensuring data is controlled and monitored — this is a scale problem but very solvable if data offices and security offices work together through scalable, well defined workflows." At #HumanXMatthew Carroll, our founder and CEO, sat down with Sadie Creese, Professor of Cybersecurity at University of Oxford, and Ben Moe, Founder & CEO at Frame, to explore security within AI, the risks of IP theft and the new world on non-human agents operating on enterprise data. Here are some of the highlights: ► Data is at the center of the agentic architecture - the first series of agents will be to work within SaaS apps, but the next wave will be on troves of warehoused data. There must be a consistent interface to do so, we really like the Model Context Protocol: https://lnkd.in/grPMihv7 ► Agentic identity management – access rights start with identity. That is no different when it comes to non-human identities. Organizations need to invest how agents will authenticate and establish attributes for access rights via Non-Human Identity Governance. ► Invest in a data access and provisioning platform that can horizontally control data access for human and non-humans, across all data systems.  AI will only become accessible to everyone once it's clear how to provision access in an intelligent, scalable, and governed manner.   #HumanX2025 HumanX
