Check this out! US Army officially designates #HADES as the ME-11B! The US Army has officially given the designation of ME-11B to the High Accuracy Detection and Exploitation System (HADES), a cutting-edge intelligence gathering aircraft. The ME-11B will feature signals intelligence. Synthetic aperture radar/moving target indicator, and additional built-in capabilities. The ASARS-2B radar allows the ME-11B to collect highly detailed ground maps and offers the ability to spot and track vehicles on the ground. This radar can be employed regardless of cloud cover or any other obscurants in the air. In regard to the possibility of underwing pylons for defensive capabilities, Andrew Evans, director of ISR Task Force, says “We’re looking at that with great interest as well, right? Protecting something like this becomes very important.” The ME-11B will be able to fly higher, faster, and farther while carrying a bigger sensor payload and being able to operate more rapidly and remain on station longer. ICYMI: US Army plans for better integration of warfighting experimentation   The US Army will be revamping how it conducts experimentation events. Instead of events focusing on individual warfighting functions, the Army is shifting to more integrated concept focused designs in 2026. #ProjectConvergence will be prefaced by a series of experimentation events that will integrate warfighting functions in new ways to prepare the Army of the future. These new integrated experiments include a Title 10 war game, a #C2 and counter C2 experiment, a cross domain fires experiment, and an expanded maneuver experiment. ICYMI: @XVIII Airborne Corps experiments with edge and cloud capabilities at Project Convergence At Project Convergence, the XVIII Airborne Corps had the opportunity to test new concepts of edge and cloud capabilities used for #C2 in an operational environment. As the Army pivots to the division as the unit of action, mobile and survivable command posts become ever more important to operational success. The corps is testing two different edge node versions, including a new cloud to edge capability being tested for the first time. 🇺🇸✈️👉🇰🇷 The US Army has deployed the first prototype of its ATHENA-R surveillance aircraft to South Korea for critical operational assessments. The spy plane, a modified version of Bombardier’s Global 6500 business jet, is set to undergo four months of rigorous testing to ensure its readiness for operations. According to Andrew Evans, director of the Army ISR Task Force, the deployment will help identify any potential issues with the ATHENA-R and allow for necessary adjustments and tweaks.
