Tear down the wall between IT and InfoSec. Device Harmony for your Apple fleet.

About us

Kandji, the Device Harmony platform for Apple devices in the enterprise, tears down the wall between IT and InfoSec teams to keep Apple users secure and productive. In the past, these teams pursued their mandates independently — InfoSec handled security, while IT managed user devices. But in a world where user security and productivity are C-level priorities, they need shared intelligence, automation and workflows to win. Kandji’s Device Harmony platform deeply connects IT and InfoSec capabilities that were previously spread out across five different product categories: Device Management, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, Endpoint Visibility, and Endpoint Compliance. Kandji bridges these capabilities with shared intelligence, automation, and workflows designed for the cross-functional manner in which these teams now work. I was thrilled to join Apple admins in Denmark. There is a worldwide community that is curious, generous, helpful, and genuine. I hear some of the same issues with app patching and OS updates everywhere I go. It was fun to show this group how Kandji solves those problems with our elegant assignment maps. https://lnkd.in/gKGZMGtb

MDM shouldn’t have to ask twice. Traditional MDM constantly polls devices, checking and rechecking their status. It's slow, inefficient, and delays enforcement. Declarative Device Management (DDM) changes that. Instead of waiting to be asked, devices proactively report their status, keeping management real-time and more responsive. At Kandji, we automatically implement available DDM features where applicable—so admins get the benefits without extra work. I had a great time breaking this down at the Mac Admin Meetup in Atlanta earlier this week, followed by some Topgolf with local Mac Admins. Always great to connect, share knowledge, and have some fun! Is your MDM implementing DDM yet? What’s been your experience so far? #MacAdmins #MacAdminCommunity #AppleMDM #DeclarativeDeviceManagement #Kandji #atl

How often does your company delay security patches because of potential disruptions? 😎 Never – we automate everything 🎯 Sometimes – we test first, then deploy ⚠️ Often – we worry about breaking apps 🚨 Too often – security takes a back seat Vote in the comments with the emoji next to which one describes your organization.

Is your IT team being asked to do more with less? It’s happening everywhere. IT budgets are shrinking. Headcounts are getting cut. IT teams are being asked to manage more devices, more security risks, and more compliance requirements—all with fewer resources. There’s no easy fix for budget cuts, but there is an easy way to lighten the workload if your team size is reduced, without compromising security. With Kandji, even the smallest IT teams can: ✅ Deploy & enforce security policies—automatically. ✅ Keep Apple devices compliant—without constant monitoring. ✅ Remediate security misconfigurations—before they become threats. ✅ Roll out updates & patches—without manual intervention. Because managing Apple devices at scale doesn't have to require an army of IT admins OR rely on the shoulders of only one person knowing how to operate their solution. How are you balancing management and security with a shrinking team? Let us know in the comments. #ITsecurity #Cybersecurity #MDM #AppleDeviceManagement #MacAdmin

Updates need to happen. Delayed patches are a security risk. But forcing an update at the wrong time? That’s a recipe for frustrated employees, missed deadlines, and IT tickets flooding in. Some companies try “gentle nudges” and hope employees update on their own (spoiler: they don’t). Others force updates, leading to surprise reboots in the middle of meetings. Neither approach is ideal. At Kandji, we think OS updates should be: ✅ Automated: Updates happen on schedule, without manual intervention. ✅ Flexible: IT sets update windows that work for their teams. ✅ Enforceable: Updates actually get installed—without exceptions slipping through the cracks. That’s why we built Managed OS—a feature in Kandji that lets IT teams enforce a minimum OS version on supervised Mac devices. If a device falls below the set version, Managed OS ensures it updates to the latest available version, keeping your Apple fleet secure and compliant. So, what’s the biggest challenge YOU face when managing OS updates? How are you handling it today? #AppleDeviceManagement #Cybersecurity #ITLeadership #MDM #MacAdmin

Lack of management capabilities should never be a reason that your enterprise has to hesitate to use specific types of devices. Yet when it comes to Apple Vision Pro, most device management solutions don't actually have the capabilities for organizations to use Vision devices with confidence. With Kandji, you can expand the usage of Apple Vision Pro devices across your teams to increase innovation without fear. Learn more about our visionOS support here: https://bit.ly/4hWk95I Will this allow you to expand Vision use in your organization? #visionOS #AppleVisionPro #MDM #MacAdmin

A couple of days ago, I had the chance to reconnect with fellow Apple Mac Admins at an in-person meetup in Falls Church, Virginia. It was a great reminder that face-to-face interactions enable spontaneous problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and authentic connections that virtual platforms just can’t replicate. These meetups are a fantastic way to connect, share ideas, and grow with others in the Mac Admin community. Looking forward to the next one! #MacAdmins #Macadmincommunity #Kandji Tom Bridge Jan Rosenfeld
