Building on our previous post about Lumiere alumni and their college acceptances — Here’s a closer look at the class of 2029’s early admissions results! 🎓📊 This report analyzes the admissions results of 379 Lumiere Scholars who applied to a U.S. college in an ‘early’ round (Early Decision, Early Action, and Single-Choice Early Action). In the class of 2029, 8 Lumiere Scholars were accepted to Harvard, 10 to Cornell, 5 to UPenn, and 5 to Brown. Our scholars were also 6.8x more likely to get into CalTech than the average Early applicant, 3.1x more likely to get into Princeton, and 2.8x more likely to get into Duke. In our ongoing series highlighting the work of our talented scholars, we’re excited to introduce Nil Ertok, whose research delves into the intricate connection between nutrition and cognitive function. The student’s work explores how nutrition interacts with key factors such as gut health, brain regions tied to cognition, and the role of essential nutrients and gut hormones in shaping mental abilities. By examining these correlations, the research provides deeper insights into how diet affects cognitive health, mental performance, and overall daily functioning. This study not only contributes to our understanding of brain health but also offers promising directions for improving cognitive resilience through nutritional interventions.
