Markets Media Group is in Mexico City this week for our inaugural Latin American Women in Finance Awards, which will be held Thursday March 6. MMG CEO Mohan Virdee was honored to visit BIVA this morning.

MEMX went live for trading equities in 2020 and chief executive Jonathan Kellner said tech innovation has been a guiding factor in the first half-decade. The exchange operator built its MEMX MAP technology for in-house use, but also made it scalable, multi-asset class and deliverable to others. Euronext is taking its first steps into fixed income derivatives with the launch of mini futures on European government bonds. Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board at Euronext, described the new futures as one of the most significant innovations in financial derivatives in recent years. Set to debut on Euronext Derivatives Milan market in September 2025, the mini futures are designed to provide greater accessibility and flexibility for retail investors, asset managers, and private investors.
