Menopause may feel off in the distant future for some women. But the hormonal shifts of perimenopause start years (even a decade) before periods stop, causing symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, and more. It's 👏never too early👏 for a woman to seek care to feel her best. It's also 👏never too early👏 for her to implement strategies to help prevent health concerns she will be at greater risk for as hormones decline (such as a loss of muscle mass). Whether women know they are in perimenopause or need help figuring that out, Midi clinicians are here. And with every personalized Care Plan to help manage symptoms comes guidance on preventive health strategies so they can live their healthiest lives years into the future. #nevertooearly #perimenopause #womenshealth #preventivehealth #MidiHealth

Right now, there are thousands of women blanking during meetings, fighting off crushing fatigue during busy shifts, or experiencing another consequence of menopause symptoms on their work day. And they're saying nothing about it. That silence comes with great expense—both for women and the businesses they work for. (Menopause-related absences alone are valued at💲1.8 billion—yep, with a B.) The Associated Press' new article on this, which includes thoughts from Midi Founder and CEO Joanna Strober, calls out the impact of silence+stigma and offers strategies for change. While a desire not to face-plant mid-day or live in a perpetual state of 🥱 are very valid reasons for wanting a good night’s sleep, adequate rest is also crucial to helping manage the risk of several chronic diseases—including several that women in midlife are ALREADY at elevated risk for because of hormonal decline. But like many things with peri/menopause, there’s a little twist that can make getting that sleep seem impossible (click through the below). There are solutions. And the sooner women connect with clinicians trained in the hormonal changes of midlife, the sooner they can get the 😴 they need. 💤 Learn more about what’s behind sleep issues in menopause and what Midi clinicians may recommend to patients on our blog💤 https://lnkd.in/eUJAkjjA #SleepAwarenessWeek #HealthySleep #SleepBetter #menopause #perimenopause #MidiHealth
