Can we build it? Yes we can! 🛠️👷 We were honored to break ground on a two-story, four-bedroom house for the Jones family this week! We proudly help fund this work, especially at a time when homeownership remains out of reach for too many. The house will be ready in Summer 2026 thanks to volunteer builders, including members of the Jones family who plan to contribute 200 hours. ✨ This home is made possible by Habitat for Humanity serving Winona County, countless volunteers, donors, advocates and community members. Thank you!

Julie Loomis has spent her last 10 birthdays in a hard hat, helping build homes with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. “… we need houses, you know, safe, affordable housing to live in, and to be able to come home and rest and gather with our friends and family, and for kids to do their homework and play and things like that. It’s like the foundation for everything in life,” Loomis said. Absolutely. 💯

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we're learning about the huge strides single women have made in the housing market, despite lots of hurdles. Fifty-one years ago, the housing market wasn't even open to women. We love seeing these gains! But we also recognize that women of color face extra challenges of access and discrimination. They are still underrepresented in the housing market. Read more about these successes and challenges on National Association of REALTORS®'s blog: https://lnkd.in/gRsy2Fm9
