In recent weeks, publicly traded health insurers — including UnitedHealth Group, Cigna and Elevance Health — have filed their annual reports with the SEC. Two key trends stand out: DEI is out, and negative publicity risks are in. Like Amazon, Disney, Google and other major corporations, health insurers have scrubbed DEI language in response to political pressure.
