Ryan Kerr, Angela West, Daniel Vargas, Lauriann Brown, and Tomorrow Singleton accepted this federal award in Arlington, VA, on behalf of the entire team, last month. Other team members not present to accept the award include David Gates, Jessica Kesler, Aymee Perez, Lito Sandan, Shelly Anne Charles, and Megan Bedenbaugh, and supervisor Danielle E Holmes. This year’s theme, “Change Management: Challenges & Solutions in Government Travel,” underscores the need for innovation and adaptability—qualities our team demonstrates every day as they navigate the complexities of government travel. Our #NIWCAtlantic team recently collaborated with the Defense Health Network National Capital Region and the U.S. Navy! They worked together to support a milestone virtual health test aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford. This demonstration successfully showcased secure, real-time telemedicine capabilities, expanding access to medical expertise while underway. Innovations like this strengthen medical readiness and ensure Sailors receive the care they need, wherever the mission takes them. Participants from across the Department of Navy recently attended the Flag and Executive Leader Implementation Course (FELIX) learn about #NIWCAtlantic's Modern Vehicle Fielding Team at Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) Magi Road facility. Members were shown some of the processes being in order for FELIX participants to look for potential process improvements.

#NIWCAtlantic recently hosted a group of Additive Manufacturing (AM) professionals from various Department of Defense (DOD) commands to show NIWC Atlantic’s On-Demand Manufacturing program and to discuss best practices for the future of AM within the DOD.
